Maintaining Spring / Summer 2012 Schedule...Take #2 =)

Ok so it's here...I went from 215lbs -188lbs since January...My plan is to maintain this weight until the end of the Summer at which point I will make a plan to lose the remaining 59lbs.

My plan is to exercise Tuesdays and Thursdays ...I have decided that In order to maintain I really need to eat right Monday-Friday that way Saturday and Sunday I don't have to worry about what I'm eating (ok lets get real) more like what I'm drinking emoticon. So I'm going to make a list of foods that help me maintain / lose weight for my reference.

Foods that keep me on track:

F-Factor Fudge Bars - 12 grams of Fiber in each bar emoticon I was hoping for a Emoticon of someone pooping but, Spark doesnt have one. emoticon
Steel Cut Oats emoticon
Strawberries emoticon
Frozen Mango's

Chicken (Thawed in the Fridge ready to cook)
Eggs emoticon

Frozen Waffles
Peanut butter

Brown Rice (already prepared)
Quiona (already prepared)

Subway - Grilled Chicken, No cheese, Honey mustard, Spinach,Green Peppers, Onion and tomato. mmmm emoticon

Kashi Cereal w/ Dark Chocolate (Homemade Trail Mix) Snack emoticon

and off to the store I go ....."insert Emoticon of a shopping cart"

    Thank you for the pooping image :-D LOL I totally get where you're coming from on the summer thing - that's usually my goal to because life is so crazy and unpredictable. I love where you're at, and that you're doing so well! I have no doubt that you'll have a great summer and if the scale goes in the wrong direction, you'll whip out those fiber bars and show your body who's the boss! :-D

  Thanks for sharing! Saturdays and Sundays are the hardest for me due to my lifestyle. But I'm making small changes a little at a time with hopes that the weekend drinks (and I don't mean water...) won't be so hard to limit to a couple. emoticon

    Sounds like a great plan...and very similar to a lot of the foods I eat. I just recently bought a cooker that cooks rice and has a timer so you can put brown rice and quinoa, etc., use the delayed timer feature, and set it to be ready when you need it. It can also steam veggies at the same time that you cook rice. I put a picture of it in an earlier blog. It was only $30 at Costco. It replaces my slow cooker, rice cooker and steamer!

Ending of Smith's Fit Contest!

Well this is the last week of the contest and I'm sad to say I have been anything but, good over the last 4-6 weeks...not sure why I sabbatoshed myself? I was in the 18th spot for the entire company 2 weeks ago and that was without even trying for the whole month prior... emoticon I'm currently in the 29th spot and this Saturday is the last weight In and...I'm not even on track at all this week!

However....I made a plan in the beginning that on the last day I was going to walk 13-14 miles to work and do my last weigh in and although it wont help me win the contest I am still doing the walk this Saturday! I hope it doesn't rain emoticon.

Speaking of being off track..I just ate a brownie and my heart is racing so fast I feel like I'm going to have a Heart attack! emoticon

    Kristi, you should see my tracker for the weekend. Talk about stuffing your face! The weird thing is that on one day, I had over 3,000 calories, and I felt so horrible afterward, but it got me thinking.....I used to eat like that EVERY DAY! No wonder I felt so bloated and gross. I've been TRYING to behave this week to bring my averages back down within range, but it's been hard, so I let myself eat near the top of my calorie ranges and's working. I've lost the 1.2 lbs I gained last week, and then some. Hang in there girl...try something new to switch things up again. You can do this!

    Do you think it's like a sugar rush or something? I've had a rough week too, but after reading lots of other blogs and interacting with fellow Sparkers, I'm feeling much better! It's not what you do just today or this week, it's the big picture. You should be proud of what you've done so far. Just brush yourself off and get back on the wagon. You can do know it!

Chest Cold / Flu / 5k

I took work off today so that I could participate in a Colon Cancer 5k ... I know you can exercise when you are sick but, when it's in your chest you run the risk of prolonging the sickness and I cant afford to do that because of today I will go and walk the 3 miles at my own pace.

While I was sick this week I did NO exercise what so ever ... I wish the sickness would have kept me from eating ... instead it just kept me from making good eating choice.... much to my surprise my scale said the exact same weight as last week this hopefully when I wake up tomorrow I will feel better and can move on like this week never happened! emoticon

    It's hard to do cardio when the cold is in your chest. Anywhere else, you can manage, but you don't want to be struggling for air or coughing your lungs out while you're exercising. Good for you for walking the 5k at your own pace today. Take care of yourself and I hope this passes soon!

I really wanted to be able to start my Spring / Summer maintenance around now but, I'm just not ready! I really wanted to be at least to 179, 174,169 some where around their before I started my maintenance program.....but, I have Spring Fever so bad that I'm having trouble staying on track for weight loss....
