It's officially Spring....

I really wanted to be able to start my Spring / Summer maintenance around now but, I'm just not ready! I really wanted to be at least to 179, 174,169 some where around their before I started my maintenance program.....but, I have Spring Fever so bad that I'm having trouble staying on track for weight loss....

Tracking my food

This was my dinner last night! 350-400 Calories Baked Breaded Shrimp, Strawberries, Grapes, Egg.

This was my breakfast today 300 Calories Baked Boneless Skinless Chicken, 2 Scrambled eggs, Grapes and Strawberries.

    I do use saucers it helps trick my brain ...the shrimp is Gortons Shrimp Poppers. It's 90 Grams which was 1 serving 260 Calories...the egg, strawberries and grapes accounted for the other 100 or so calories.

    Oh my, those look delicious! I used to take pictures of my meals too. So, that looks like a lot of food for 300 calories. Do you use smaller plates? You must, because the food just looks like it's spilling over. What kind of shrimp do you use? I LOVE shrimp and would love to have it without blowing my fat and sodium levels!

    I'm trying to keep all my meals between 200-400 Calories ...other items that I eat on a weekly basis ...

Subway Grilled Chicken
Pizza Hut Thin Crust Chicken Supreme
F-Factor Fudge Brownie bars
Smart Ones Canadian Bacon Muffins
Chicken Enchiladas

I could be to my goal weight by the end of September!

I've thought it through and I've decided that unless I'm trying to lose weight...I'm gaining it...so it really wouldn't be in my best interest to keep trying to lose 2lbs a week for the next 30 weeks ... if I do I will just be burned out for the Winter and the Winter is when I diet the best anyways..so I just need to stay 100 % on track for the next 4 weeks (for my work contest) and then after that ... maintain for 6 months so that at the end of September I can be ready to go again and lose my remaining 50 pounds just in time for Summer and my 10 year anniversary to Islands. emoticon

    I know how you feel, however, at least you have a loss! You are not gaining and you are not at a standstill. I still have so long to go, and now that I'm past my initial month of big numbers being lost on the scale, I have to think each week that it's two pounds less than last week and I think of how I would feel if the 24 lbs I've lost was still on me. Yuck! I'm so proud of you and you are reallly inspiring me to keep going. It's because of you that I am even back on here! You CAN do this. You've already proven that!

Maintaining Spring / Summer 2012 Schedule

In 5 or so weeks I plan to back off my weight loss and start learning how to maintain.....this doesn't mean that I am at my goal weight by any means it just means that maintenance is what I need practice at.

I have decided I am going to still count my calories and stay around 1400.. eat healthy Sun-Friday (maybe even breakfast and lunch on Saturday) and then Saturday evening will be my free meal and drinks emoticon

Also I will be cutting back on exercise...currently I work out 7 days a week for 45 min - an hour. I will be trying to cut back to 2-3 days a week 1 hour. emoticon

I will still be weighing in weekly so we will see how this plan works and go from there. emoticon

Then around the end of September beginning of October I will start up phase 3 of my weight loss....and hopefully reach my goal of 129 before my 10 year anniversary cruise May 2013. emoticon

    I can't wait to hear how that goes for you. It's great that you are putting your focus on maintenance. You've had so much success losing, but you've struggled with keeping it off. I hope this new plan makes all the difference.

    I like your plan. I'm trying to figure out my maintenance plan. Right now I work out 50-70 minutes 5 days a week. I'm thinking of cutting that back to 30 minutes 5 days a week. But your plan seems really great too. I swear maintenance is so much harder than losing!!

    Sounds like a good plan. Good luck with maintaining! You'll have to share the secret of your success when you go back to weight loss mode. I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to do when I hit maintenance mode. Just make sure you stay connected on Spark! :)
