I really wanted to be able to start my Spring / Summer maintenance around now but, I'm just not ready! I really wanted to be at least to 179, 174,169 some where around their before I started my maintenance program.....but, I have Spring Fever so bad that I'm having trouble staying on track for weight loss....
I've thought it through and I've decided that unless I'm trying to lose weight...I'm gaining it...so it really wouldn't be in my best interest to keep trying to lose 2lbs a week for the next 30 weeks ... if I do I will just be burned out for the Winter and the Winter is when I diet the best anyways..so I just need to stay 100 % on track for the next 4 weeks (for my work contest) and then after that ... maintain for 6 months so that at the end of September I can be ready to go again and lose my remaining 50 pounds just in time for Summer and my 10 year anniversary to Islands.
In 5 or so weeks I plan to back off my weight loss and start learning how to maintain.....this doesn't mean that I am at my goal weight by any means it just means that maintenance is what I need practice at.
I have decided I am going to still count my calories and stay around 1400.. eat healthy Sun-Friday (maybe even breakfast and lunch on Saturday) and then Saturday evening will be my free meal and drinks
Also I will be cutting back on exercise...currently I work out 7 days a week for 45 min - an hour. I will be trying to cut back to 2-3 days a week 1 hour.
I will still be weighing in weekly so we will see how this plan works and go from there.
Then around the end of September beginning of October I will start up phase 3 of my weight loss....and hopefully reach my goal of 129 before my 10 year anniversary cruise May 2013.
