Maintaining Spring / Summer 2012 Schedule

In 5 or so weeks I plan to back off my weight loss and start learning how to maintain.....this doesn't mean that I am at my goal weight by any means it just means that maintenance is what I need practice at.

I have decided I am going to still count my calories and stay around 1400.. eat healthy Sun-Friday (maybe even breakfast and lunch on Saturday) and then Saturday evening will be my free meal and drinks emoticon

Also I will be cutting back on exercise...currently I work out 7 days a week for 45 min - an hour. I will be trying to cut back to 2-3 days a week 1 hour. emoticon

I will still be weighing in weekly so we will see how this plan works and go from there. emoticon

Then around the end of September beginning of October I will start up phase 3 of my weight loss....and hopefully reach my goal of 129 before my 10 year anniversary cruise May 2013. emoticon

    I can't wait to hear how that goes for you. It's great that you are putting your focus on maintenance. You've had so much success losing, but you've struggled with keeping it off. I hope this new plan makes all the difference.

    I like your plan. I'm trying to figure out my maintenance plan. Right now I work out 50-70 minutes 5 days a week. I'm thinking of cutting that back to 30 minutes 5 days a week. But your plan seems really great too. I swear maintenance is so much harder than losing!!

    Sounds like a good plan. Good luck with maintaining! You'll have to share the secret of your success when you go back to weight loss mode. I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to do when I hit maintenance mode. Just make sure you stay connected on Spark! :)

Still in 1st Place - My store

Dropped from 1st to 2nd Place - Entire District My TEAM "Tight as Three" but, the Team in 1st has disqualified! So that means we are still in 1st for the prize!

I'm back in the 19th spot for the entire company!

    A Team has to have a least 3 people...if you dont weigh in 3 weeks in a row that person gets disqualified. They dropped below 3 on their Team! emoticon

Pre and Post workout snacks

I found this on-line by Weight Watchers (It looked helpful)

5 pre-workout snack ideas

1. Half a chicken, turkey or lean roast beef sandwich on whole-wheat bread
2. Low-fat yogurt with a sliced banana
3. Low-fat string cheese and 6 whole-grain crackers
4. Hard-boiled eggs, yolks removed and replaced with hummus
5. Skim milk blended with frozen fruit to make a smoothie

5 post-workout replenishing meal ideas

1. One or two poached eggs on whole-wheat toast
2. Bean burrito: a whole-wheat tortilla filled with black beans, salsa and reduced-fat cheese
3. Stir-fried chicken and vegetables (try pepper, zucchini and carrot) over brown rice
4. Whole-wheat pasta tossed with chicken, broccoli and eggplant
5. Whole-grain cereal or oatmeal, with milk and fruit (such as a sliced banana)

    I like this post. I just rode my bike to work and I had a bagel and some yogurt for a post workout snack. Glad to know that I ate the right thing!

    Just so everyone knows I am happy with my weigh loss ... I'm just letting the game get too me. I know that 2-3 pounds a day is Good! Unfortunately to win the game ... the current winner is losing 4 or more pounds every single week....and my body is only letting me lose an average of 2.5 lbs per week. I'm very competitive and I wanted to win.

I hate the scale!

Not sure what happened this week emoticon on Tuesday I was in the 195's and Thursday I was 196 and when I went to bed last night I was 197 and when I woke up this morning I was 197.2 .... how do you wake up heavier then before you went to bed? IDK but, it's going to be really hard to not react to the scale.... emoticon I did good all week with the exception of 1 meal on Thursday but, even then I didnt pig out and I logged. Whatever!!!

    I agree, it's only water weight. Keep in mind that even if you have gained water weight, your body is still burning fat if you're eating right and exercising. (And you are!) Don't let this ruin your week. Next week the scale will probably show your actual weight loss plus the water weight loss. Keep on going! Remember, it's not what you do in one day or one week, it's what you do over a long period of time. I feel your pain. But don't let your mind sabotage how great you've done this far! The scale is not a reliable measure of your progress!

    I know how you feel. It is just water weight but it is so hard to tell your brain that. All your brain sees is the weight gain and it doesn't matter why. I have the same issue with the scale. Just don't get down, you are doing AMAZING!! emoticon

    Fluctuations are why I don't weigh that often. I only weigh on the weekends.
