Well 1 year ago I was sitting here at 240 pounds wondering if I ate right and exercised some of the time and didn't worry about the all or nothing ...would I even lose any weight? I am happy to say that I am now sitting her at 210 lbs and happy to say yes ... I spent less than half of my time really focused on losing weight and I was able to get off 30lbs ... not the 101 pounds that I lost in 2007 but, I think I've learned a lot more about maintenance and honestly I think maintaining is a lot harder then losing.
Now with that said my goal this year is to get down to 170 so that I will qualify for health discounts on my insurance ... we are having a contest at work for the highest % of weight loss over the next 14 weeks and the winner gets between $100.00-$1200.00 .. if I could win then my husband and I could go on a much needed cruise ... so for the next 14 weeks my goal is to eat 1200 calories each day and burn 350 calories each day exercising. And hopefully that will be enough to win the $1200.00 and lose 49 pounds. Once the contest is over on April 7th I plan to work on maintaining that weight through the rest of the spring and Summer. Sometime in mid October I will then work on losing the remaining 30lbs to finally reach my goal set back in 2006 when I started.
