I'm in it for the long haul....

Friday, February 18, 2011

I know I keep having set backs and I'm defiantly not losing as fast as I would like but, I'm going to keep at it ... my goal this year is too make mistakes and pick up where I left off .. that is where I failed last time .. thinking that when I didnt do something perfect that meant I could take weeks .. month.. and years to get back up and keep going... Not this time!!! emoticon I love this yoga stretch emoticon

I don't just like this blog, I LOVE IT! That's a great attitude Kristi, and it's the same way I feel. I am working on being positive, even when I don't do well. We should treat ourselves the way we would treat each other when we screw up. I wouldn't be mad at you and criticize you, I would be supportive and offer words of encouragement. That's what we should do for ourselves.

Keep up the good work and I'll be working right along with you!

Way to jump back on track. 10 glasses of water yesterday is still pretty darn good! I usually do around 8-10 glasses of water each day. Glad to see you back!

I think I'm going to change my weigh in day to Saturday too. That way, when I can start exercising again, I can do a last chance workout on Friday night and/or Saturday morning. Plus, I want to be in line with what you're doing! emoticon

I have always eaten the Costco chicken when I'm eating healthy. I ate them the first time around too. They do cook them with the skin on and I actually eat some of that skin because it's so tasty, but you can take it off. I've always used the nutrition information for a roasting chicken on spark, but I never tried looking up the actual calorie information. It's not like KFC where they inject the so-called healthier chicken with a salty solution.

Hmmm..I might have to try those dark chocolate bars. They sound good.

Are all rotisserie chickens low in fat and sodium I always thought they would be very high fat because of the skin and sodium because the store made them?

Yes I still eat them on occasion but, I think I like the Kellogg Dark Chocolate Fiber Plus bars better!

I only feel guilty about them because I've had too many of them and things arent getting themselves done emoticon

Do you have a costco nearby? I LOVE their rotisserie chickens. Low in fat and sodium, high in protein, and delicious! For fiber, I eat brown rice with it, maybe some fruit or veggies. I like broccoli, but an apple or something is good too. Do you still eat Fiber One bars?

I'm glad the popcorn suggestion helped. Just remember, you can have lazy days without feeling guilty!

I woke up in a procrastinating mood today which has made me grumpy!

Wednesday, February 16, 2011

I had no problem getting my workout out of the way and I dont see any issues with getting my water in but, as for the food I've already made lots of bad choices and it's only 9am and I feel GRUMPY! emoticon I keep procrastinating things which makes me more stressed and every time I think about just getting things done I want to go medicate "with food" emoticon

You don't have to eat junk and be tired....sit in front of the tv and be lazy anyway. You're entitled to have lazy days without eating badly. Pop in a good movie, get a pillow and blanket and sit there and be lazy all you want and don't feel guilty about it!

Pop some popcorn if you want to. That will be a high fiber snack to go with your movie.

Here's my guess ... if I eat then I will be tried and I can be lazy and sit in front of the t.v. ... it's looks really nice outside but, it's not so I'm stuck inside .. my husband is working a grave so he is going to bed at 4 in the afternoon =( I know complain .. complain .. complain...

Your day is still not shot. Start fresh when you wake up. Your tracker is not as bad as I thought it would be after reading your post. High fiber...low sodium. It's never too late.

Good News!!! After I blogged this I went and stuffed my face ... and then I tracked everything .. at which point I felt better (of course) the drugs had kicked in and right about the time I was going to come crashing off my High I decided that I still didnt want to accomplish anything that I was procrastinating so I started tearing my house apart cleaning things that have been bugging me that I never feel like I have time to do! It is now 4 hours later I currently feel better .. So yes I am going to figure out what to eat that is high fiber low sodium emoticon

I just looked at your food tracker and all is not lost Honeycomb! You still have over 800 calories left today. It is possible to eat low cal, low sodium for the rest of the day and stay on track or at least close to it. Don't give up girlfriend!

Do you feel grumpy because of the food you've eaten? I know that when I eat junk food, I feel like crap.

Hang in there Kristi, take it hour by hour. If you can't help but procrastinate, maybe use that extra time to do something that will help your mood, like squeeze in another workout, even if it's only 10 minutes, or go soak in the tub or take a hot shower or a quick power nap or treat yourself to a pedicure. Maybe after you do something like that, you won't feel grumpy and you can proceed from there.

You can do this! You've been doing this for a month and you are well on your way to looking and feeling great this summer!

That's great Kristi! I'm so happy to hear that it's all going so well. Keep up the good work. I'm right there with you. This has been my best week yet as far as water and food. I've got to get moving on the exercise but I'm a bit hindered by the back pain. I am so looking forward to getting the surgery behind me and recovering so I can exercise like I want without pain.
