So I wake up this morning with a thought why have I not trained my morning child to get up in the morning and do a workout? We have always had rules for food so that she will have healthy habits ex: when she gets home from school she is allowed to have a snack but, it can only be a fruit or Veggie...also she is only allowed to drink water throughout the day when we have meals she gets to chose something else .. most of the time she chooses something healthy then too! This last summer we let her stay with grandma for a month and when she got home she had stuffed her self with crap the whole time.. you could really tell and people kept asking me if she was "ok" so I just put her back on her normal food routine and signed her up for Fall Soccer she was back to normal in a matter of a few weeks. My older daughter moved out for 6 months as a size 3 and returned to as a size 7 after just a few months she is back to a 3 ( I guess being able to drink soda and stuff your face with pastries wasn't all she thought it would be =) ) Anyways long story short My 11 year old gets up everyvmorning 3 hours before school .. I dont know why .. I'm not a morning person but, this morning I thought I should pop in a workout video and she what she does ... she immediately got excited finished up her breakfast and is now working out .. I hope she sticks to this every morning ..I'm sure it will help the thinking process at school too and hopefully if she does it most morning from now - 7th grade it will just be something she does for the rest of her life!
With that said I am off to do my Tuesday workout 4 days until weigh in!!!
