All or nothing

So I tracked my food today, I completed my exercise and I'm on track to get in my 20 glasses ... While tracking my food I was really wanting a Corn Dog today ..I had the calories for it however It put me over on my sodium .. since I'm an all or nothing girl I decided that would not be a good thing for the arguing that goes on in my head!!! Instead I ate a waffle with 1T of peanut butter and now all my ranges are perfect. I feel good about my decision emoticon

  Great choices. I too eat a lot of peanut butter as substitutes for more fun choices. Keep up the good work.

    So although I should have been cleaning my house I was searching the web for good recipes when I came across a "Hungry Girl" recipe for Onion rings and Boneless hot wings.. .I think I'm going to try those this weekend! She has a bunch of Alcohol beverage on there too but, I'm just not to keen on Splenda and I don't like Soda and that is what most of them call for. I really need to find a lo Cal Cocktail!!!

    Silly things like never going over on my sodium is how I was able to lose 100 Pounds in 48 weeks and I would really like to do that again!

So here it is...I am an all or nothing girl. Either I'm doing it all ... all the time or I'm not doing any of it ... I know doing part is better then nothing maybe for maintaining but, if I want to lose 100 pounds this year I'm going to have to Exercise 6 days a week .. drink 20 glasses of water everyday and stay under 1500 calories THE END!

    You can do it Kristi. We are both all or nothing girls. We did this before and we can do it again! You are doing so fantastic with your exercise. I am envious of that. I have been very sporadic with mine, but my eating and tracking has been consistent. It will all come together for both of us and we'll be on a roll!

Both of us should figure out a way to cope with situations where we don't do 100%. We have to keep ourselves from giving up and giving in to splurges when we don't meet our goals. We should talk this weekend!

Ridiculous way of thinking

I know what I'm about to say is silly but, it's the sugar and the pasta talking so keep that in mind emoticon For the last 3 weeks I have been doing my workouts 5 days a week and this week I added 20 glasses of water... I have been averaging about .2lbs a day so yesterday I decided to track food expecting to lose at least .3 this morning and again the scale said .2 emoticon. The problem with that is now when the pasta and sugar are calling my name it makes it harder to say NO! Deep down I know I have to be consistent for more weight to come off but, can I convince the voice's in my head? emoticon

    Think of it this way. You tracked and you still lost .2 lbs in a day. Sometimes results from the previous day don't show up on the scale so quickly. It might show the next day, or at the end of the week. It's cumulative, remember? You cannot blow it with pasta and sugar. You just can't! Hang in there Kristi, you have proven that you can get past this. Heck, you have that dang treadmill in your house. If you ever want to have pasta or sugar, tell yourself you have to do 10 minutes or 20 minutes on the treadmill before you can eat it. Or, call me! I will talk you out of it or at least distract you long enough to avoid it and get it off your mind.

Give the tracking a little more time to take effect. I think you will get excellent results if you do.

I forgot to blog on Monday that my workout was complete also I drank my 20 glasses of water Sunday, Monday I only got in 12 emoticon

    Yes, that stuff can add up. It's good to track because it reminds you of stuff like that. It's all healthy stuff, but even too much healthy stuff can add calories and slow down your progress! Sounds like a very good, fiber filled lunch with healthy fats, etc. Yum! It's time for me to eat lunch now.

    Way to go Kristi! It's all coming together and I think you will see great results on Saturday when you weigh in! Give the food tracking a chance. Maybe once you get used to it a little more, you won't think of it so much. I only think about it when I'm hungry these days. As soon as I feel hungry, I start trying to remember what I planned for and what I could eat next. The rest of the time, I don't really think about it too much. Hang in there and give it a chance. You made it work for you before...I know you can do it again!

    Since I seem to have a few extra minutes today I think I am going to try logging all my food for the day! emoticon and see how that effects my weight in the morning. It was 2 weeks ago that I decided to eat that bowl of past and then binge the next day ... and it has taken me until today to get back to where I was so note to self NO PASTA!

Healthy Habits

So I wake up this morning with a thought why have I not trained my morning child to get up in the morning and do a workout? We have always had rules for food so that she will have healthy habits ex: when she gets home from school she is allowed to have a snack but, it can only be a fruit or Veggie...also she is only allowed to drink water throughout the day when we have meals she gets to chose something else .. most of the time she chooses something healthy then too! This last summer we let her stay with grandma for a month and when she got home she had stuffed her self with crap the whole time.. you could really tell and people kept asking me if she was "ok" so I just put her back on her normal food routine and signed her up for Fall Soccer she was back to normal in a matter of a few weeks. My older daughter moved out for 6 months as a size 3 and returned to as a size 7 after just a few months she is back to a 3 ( I guess being able to drink soda and stuff your face with pastries wasn't all she thought it would be =) ) Anyways long story short My 11 year old gets up everyvmorning 3 hours before school .. I dont know why .. I'm not a morning person but, this morning I thought I should pop in a workout video and she what she does ... she immediately got excited finished up her breakfast and is now working out .. I hope she sticks to this every morning ..I'm sure it will help the thinking process at school too and hopefully if she does it most morning from now - 7th grade it will just be something she does for the rest of her life!

emoticon With that said I am off to do my Tuesday workout emoticon 4 days until weigh in!!!

    It used to bother me but now I think it's just teaching them for there adult future so I'm good with it! Besides then when they are complaining I can say remember the time when.......he he he

    Wow, I wish my kids got up 3 hours before school! It's hard when you send your kids to visit someone and they don't feed them the way you'd like them to.
