One or the other

Saturday, May 10, 2008

It seems that I can eat well and exercise but, that I seem to not be able to do them on the same day? In order to lose weight they go together I sure hope I figure this out soon.

I weighed at 170.2 this morning and I know that if I get a good workout today and stay within my calorie ranges I could be back in the 60's by morning! emoticon

That's great Kristi! Just keep on trying and as long as you're still doing something, it will all come together. Keep trying for that early morning wake up so you can get your workout done before the rest of the family wakes up. You'll feel so good that you have it out of the way and you can focus on the rest of your day without worrying about when you'll fit it in.

SparkPeople's Official Beach Body Boot camp

Thursday, May 01, 2008

Ok so April is over! Woo Hoo not a good month I only reached my exercise and eating goals 13-14% of the time emoticon.

I have joined the Sparkpeople Beach Body Boot camp that starts on May 4th and I plan to get my butt back into gear. May will be my month for getting back on track!

I think we are in a similar position at the moment Kristi, I had a lousy April too (and not a particularly good March, February or January!!)
But I feel that May is definitely going to be the month where we turn things around - roll on the bootcamp challenge! :0)

You know most people have issues when going out with friends, party's ect............ that is when I do the best. Planned events seem to keep me on track. My every day life is where I have issues.

I'm going to do this..........thank you for the vote of confidence!

=)

I weighed in at 172 this morning and 122 is my goal that's 50 pounds. If I gave it 100% for the next 25 weeks I could be there just in time for Halloween I would be in maintenance mode.

ohhhhhhhhh............
.that sounds so good!

I know you can do it Kristi...and I'm with you on the Beach Body Boot Camp! I know you can do it, because when we were in New York and in L.A., you were careful about everything you ate, even when we said we were going to treat ourselves! I know you have it in you. May WILL be your month!

I'm going to do it!

Tuesday, April 29, 2008

I am going to complete Day #5 today! I have set myself up to succeed. It is only 11 am but, I have already done my cardio and I had a GREAT breakfast. I had a ton of Anxiety this morning but, I was able to get myself on the treadmill and work through some of it!

There are only 2 days left this month so when I make it through today and tomorrow that will be Day 5 and Day 6 which means that I was able to make my goals 20% of this month. Not the best I can do but, if I can do more then 20% next month then I will be making progress.

Well ladies it looks like it's going to be more like 17-18% this month that is if I make it through tomorrow. I don't know why chips always look so tasty and why I think I need to eat so many of them. And then there's the Strawberry chex why isn't the whole box one serving?

You are finding the positive in this and I love it! 20% is better than 0, 5, 10 or even 19%

Way to go,

Getting back on track

Saturday, April 26, 2008

I knew keeping the weight off that I lost would be harder then losing it, and that once again in my life is proving to be true. Since last October I have been gaining and losing the same 8-10 pounds which has been super frustrating but, I'm happy to say that I still have not given up. I exercised this morning for the first time in a few weeks and I am determined to stay on track with my eating. So far so good. I am going to make myself some short term goals like I did in the beginning and see if I can get these 9.8 pounds off and then work on the last 37.

I know I can do it I just need to make it my first priority!

You are the reason I joined SP. I read the article in People Magazine and I have decided not to give up. I just read your sparkpage and realized that you lost weight at the beginning like it was nobody's business. Unbelievable. I have only been able to lose an average of 8lbs a month. This said, maybe you are used to losing weight quickly and are getting frustrated that the numbers aren't going as fast as they used to? I might be wrong. But slow and steady. you are doing great, and are still and inspiration for me.

I agree however I need to get to 122lbs first and then I will be ok with gaining 10 pounds losing 10 gaining 10 losing 10.......

You know, the more I know people that are "maintaining" the more I come to believe that it's really about keeping your weight within a certain range, give or take 5-10 pounds, than it is about staying at one set number.

It also seems that this is way that the "naturally slim" people in my life behave. As soon as their belt gets a little too tight, they recommit for a while, and then just repeat that cycle as they need to.

Don't be too hard on yourself. :)
