I wasn't easy but I did it! Day #4 Done!!!

Wednesday, April 09, 2008

I am so glad that day is over with I was doing so good and then all of the sudden things started happening... I felt like I was being tested. I started to eat things that I knew where bad choices but, was able to save myself and stay within my calories. I did go over on sodium but, all in all I had a very good day with food and exercise.

Now for Day #5 I'm off to the vet this morning to see if my small dog has and eye infection and to see if my big dog has broke his leg again. uggggggggggggg I love my puppies like children but, if you followed my blog last year you know that both of them were hurt from the middle of February through the beginning of September and it was so hard for them not being able to play and get there energy out and it was so hard for me. I feel like someone who should be turned in to DCFS for dogs, there really isn't anything I could have done to keep them from getting hurt but, my hell how many time's does one person bring there dog to the hospital before people start wondering. Sorry about the rant I'm just hoping that helped me get out my frustrations so that I can make it through Day #5 today. I hope the vet bill isn't a lot!

I hope your dogs are alright and that the bill will not be more than you can handle. I would pray for protection over them each day and ensure them in the hands of the Lord.

Congratulations for doing so well today.

Have a nice evening.

Thanks Fruity I just cant believe how much they get hurt we keep them in doors they only go outside to go to the bathroom and then when we are out there they run around play and get there exercise. Over the last 5 years we have treated numerous ear infections, rashes, dislocated eye, excessive throwing up, surgery for pee hole (don't laugh) we really did, broken legs.
"Knock on wood" they get hurt more then children. Well I love them so I guess it's life.

Good job on tackling day #4! That's quite the accomplishment since you didn't have a lot of calories to spare by mid-day! That is wonderful.

I hope all goes well with your dogs. The difference between you and someone who should be turned in because their dogs are always getting hurt is that you are taking them to the vet every time and getting them treated. Someone who abuses animals doesn't spend that kind of money on keep them healthy and comfortable.

Here's to day #5! You go girl!

Day #3 Done!

Tuesday, April 08, 2008

I finally seem to be in the right mind frame again so let's see how long I can keep it there! I did really good yesterday I kept myself so busy I had to find things at 8pm to add to my tracker just to get myself to 1200 calories for the day. I wish that was the problem I had everyday............... I'm hanging in there I really want to get back to 159 and then reach my goal of 144 soon so that I will no longer be over weight. I hope to see you all there.

I finally did it ... now off to Day #3

Monday, April 07, 2008

I am so proud of myself for yesterday.........I got in my workout and I tracked all my food at the beginning of the day. I went to a BBQ and only ate a few uncooked veggies and then I came home and ate my dinner as planned.

If you check out my food tracker you will notice that I did go over my calories but, I made the decision to do so it was not because I ate without thinking and then tracked it. This is the first day in a long time that I felt like I made responsible eating decisions all day. I am going to burn and extra 188 calories today on top of my normal 300 calories that I normally do.

It's 11:00 am and so far so good now off to concur Day #3.

That's GREAT Kristi! Way to go! That's fantastic that you did so well at the barbecue...I think those are the hardest situations to get through, when socializing and eating are involved. Look out Day #3!

Spark Calculator

Sunday, April 06, 2008

According to my Spark Calculator in order to reach my goal of 122 pounds by November 18 ( My 2 year anniversary ) I need to eat between 1200-1550 calories per day and burn 310 calories 6 days per week (that is 35 min. a day walk/running on my treadmill) that is 226 days of staying within the ranges and then I would be at goal. Really that doesn't sound so hard I think I'm going to give it a shot!

I got a new hair cut a few days ago hopefully I will take a photo and post it soon.

You can do have came so far!

But if you get discouraged just go back and look at your beginning pictures and look at yourself in the mirror! You have lost a whole child from yourself...that's nothing to be ashamed of.

Oh, I want to see your hair! Pics please. I think that sounds like a great goal, but maybe a little too hard? I found six days a week to be too much. Four-five is much more doable. What about giving yourself until the end of December? I don't want to sound negative, and I certainly know how capable you are, but I'd hate to see you miserable. It's not worth killing yourself over.

Yep I will always need Sparkpeople and all the friends I have made on here over the last 16-17 months. People have asked me in the past if I have lost the weight and never gone up so I would like to blog this so that people know that even I still struggle everyday..............I did really well for the first 9 months but, I have struggled since then not losing any more weight but, I have been maintaining that is until this month (except through the holidays) but, I quickly worked that off. I have to say the month of March has been the worst month I have had since joining Spark .. I have gained 8.4 pounds in just a one month period.

The good thing about it is that I'm still on here and I have not given up and I will not be giving up, I still plan to reach my goal of 122 pounds but, first things first I really want to reach 144 pounds so I can finally say "I am no longer over weight".

I hope everyone is having a GREAT day and thanks for reading my blog.

You have done such a fantastic job so far. I too have been stuck at my weight for 9 months. I gained here and there, but lost it. Today I am starting with Clean Eating - Tosca Reno has a book and a recipe book - sounds great. With that and changing my exercise I am hoping to get to my goal by this June.
You are such an inspiration to me.

Getting a jump on it now, while it's still manageable, is so important. I know that in the past, you went way down and then way up. But you aren't doing that this time! You didn't just sick your head in the sand and hide the scale. You didn't just stop posting on SP and give up! You're facing reality and making a commitment to yourself to get back on track. That's excellent.

Thank YOU for posting this today! Itīs not fun to have the ups and downs! I canīt imagine that one single person walks this journey without them. Perhaps itīs just a part of the reality we live. My wtloss has been extremely slow and at my every SP check-up, I check the box saying that I am NOT happy with my wtloss progress! However, I AM delighted with SparkPeople and all that I have learned about myself and how to keep focusing on the steps towards my goals - not just the wtloss goal, the major progress that Iīve made in regard to my self image, too!

Two steps forward and one step will always be like that for us. The important thing is exactly what you're doing, you're not giving up! You're an example for people to see that even those who are very successful still slip up. You will show them how to get back on track. You have a new lifestyle and that will never change.
