Fun Contest

Sunday, April 13, 2008

My 8 year old daughter entered an online contest with a local radio station to win herself a Swing Set / Playground. In order for her to win she has to be one of the top 20 kids to get the most votes. If she gets enough votes then I will have to compete in something called the "mommy Olympics" with 19 other mommies to try and win the play set for there child. If you have a spare moment please go to

and vote for Inna #67. They will be showing the contest on the local news station and if we get enough votes I am going to wear my Spark T-shirt to compete. The voting Starts Tuesday April 15th and ends Tuesday April 22nd.
Thanks everyone in advance for taking the time to help us win. If you get this message and you wouldn't mind copying and pasting it in your Team's to help me pass along the word there is only one vote per computer so that would be Awesome!
Thank you,
aka Kristi

I'm going to ask all my friends to vote. I don't bug them for stuff like this often, so I don't feel guilty. It would be so excellent for you. We have a great playset in the yard, and it's the best thing in the world. I hope you win!!!!! Try to remind us tomorrow, when voting starts.

With out Sparkpeople there is no way that I would have competed in a "Mommy Olympic" before I lost weight so I have to give credit where credit is due. =)

You can do this! Maybe you are not busy enough. I find that when I'm at work and I get really involved with what I'm doing, I don't eat much. It's when I'm bored that I eat which is most of the time!

If you entered everything, it doesn't look that bad. But, in any case, you pick yourself up, brush yourself off, an move on! Yesterday looked great on our tracker, so hopefully it was an easier day for you.

I wasn't easy but I did it! Day #4 Done!!!

Wednesday, April 09, 2008

I am so glad that day is over with I was doing so good and then all of the sudden things started happening... I felt like I was being tested. I started to eat things that I knew where bad choices but, was able to save myself and stay within my calories. I did go over on sodium but, all in all I had a very good day with food and exercise.

Now for Day #5 I'm off to the vet this morning to see if my small dog has and eye infection and to see if my big dog has broke his leg again. uggggggggggggg I love my puppies like children but, if you followed my blog last year you know that both of them were hurt from the middle of February through the beginning of September and it was so hard for them not being able to play and get there energy out and it was so hard for me. I feel like someone who should be turned in to DCFS for dogs, there really isn't anything I could have done to keep them from getting hurt but, my hell how many time's does one person bring there dog to the hospital before people start wondering. Sorry about the rant I'm just hoping that helped me get out my frustrations so that I can make it through Day #5 today. I hope the vet bill isn't a lot!

I hope your dogs are alright and that the bill will not be more than you can handle. I would pray for protection over them each day and ensure them in the hands of the Lord.

Thanks Fruity I just cant believe how much they get hurt we keep them in doors they only go outside to go to the bathroom and then when we are out there they run around play and get there exercise. Over the last 5 years we have treated numerous ear infections, rashes, dislocated eye, excessive throwing up, surgery for pee hole (don't laugh) we really did, broken legs.
"Knock on wood" they get hurt more then children. Well I love them so I guess it's life.

Good job on tackling day #4! That's quite the accomplishment since you didn't have a lot of calories to spare by mid-day! That is wonderful.

I hope all goes well with your dogs. The difference between you and someone who should be turned in because their dogs are always getting hurt is that you are taking them to the vet every time and getting them treated. Someone who abuses animals doesn't spend that kind of money on keep them healthy and comfortable.

Here's to day #5! You go girl!

Day #3 Done!

Tuesday, April 08, 2008

I finally seem to be in the right mind frame again so let's see how long I can keep it there! I did really good yesterday I kept myself so busy I had to find things at 8pm to add to my tracker just to get myself to 1200 calories for the day. I wish that was the problem I had everyday............... I'm hanging in there I really want to get back to 159 and then reach my goal of 144 soon so that I will no longer be over weight. I hope to see you all there.

I know you can do it, you are a strong person, and can make it happen. Getting back on track feels great, does it not? I am wishing you nothing but strength on this last part of your journey. I need to go down 20 and I want to do this, let's do it together?! Stay strong.

I finally did it ... now off to Day #3

Monday, April 07, 2008

I am so proud of myself for yesterday.........I got in my workout and I tracked all my food at the beginning of the day. I went to a BBQ and only ate a few uncooked veggies and then I came home and ate my dinner as planned.

If you check out my food tracker you will notice that I did go over my calories but, I made the decision to do so it was not because I ate without thinking and then tracked it. This is the first day in a long time that I felt like I made responsible eating decisions all day. I am going to burn and extra 188 calories today on top of my normal 300 calories that I normally do.

It's 11:00 am and so far so good now off to concur Day #3.

That's GREAT Kristi! Way to go! That's fantastic that you did so well at the barbecue...I think those are the hardest situations to get through, when socializing and eating are involved. Look out Day #3!
