Day 13

To day is a day of rest for the 28 day plan. I am glad because I woke up with a sinus headache and just haven't been able to get rid of it. Plan to go to bed a little earlier tonight and hope to feel better tomorrow so I can do the cardio-sculpt routine.

I love this quote because too often we try to be beat someone else and the only one we need to beat is ourselves. We can use someone as an inspiration but not try to be as good as or better than.

I admire the coaches here on Spark People and want to be like them in their consistency toward their health and fitness, but I know my body is different than their's so I will never look like them. This is okay because if I work at my health and fitness I will be the best that I can be.

Day 11 & 12

Monday, November 12, 2012

Sunday was a day of rest for the 28 day plan. That was nice since I had church and then my final tasting. It was also a cold rainy day.

Monday is the tone and burn for 32 minutes. I also bowled for an additional 40 minutes.
The boxing section is still difficult but I keep trying.

A quote I received today by Dale Carnegie: "One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living."

Made me realize that is one of the reason I am working out to get into better shape. I want to be able to play with my granddaughter when we go visit in January and not worry about getting up and down and not being able to keep up with her.

Also, we have a tendency to put restriction or requirements on things we do.

When we wait for the right moment it may never come. We need to live now and do things while we can.

This applies to all aspects of live and not just to fitness. One thing I try to live by is if I have something it is meant to be used.

Day 10

Saturday, November 10, 2012

To day was the Cardio Burst video again. I was a little tired this morning so only did 6 minutes before getting ready for my wine tasting event. I did do another 6 minutes when I got home this evening as well as doing wine glasses. We wash them by hand in a commercial 3 sink unit. This takes awhile to get them done. I did 6 trays of 16 glasses each. That is washing, rinsing and sanitizing.

My tasting event is from 11 to 4 each day and for the most part I am on my feet the whole time, so I am tired by the time I get done.

Day 9

Friday, November 09, 2012

Today was the 30 minute tone and burn video.

I am glad that she showed different levels for the exercise.
I did the beginner for most of them but did do a few medium level

I wasn't sure I would be able to keep up but I did.

This weekend is a good test for me as I have a wine tasting everyday.
I got up a little earlier so I could workout before I had to leave.
My goal is to continue to workout first thing in the morning.

As they say the only workout you regret is the one you didn't do.

  I get my workouts in first thing in the morning, too. And you're right. They only workout you regret is the one you don't do.

Day 8 - Happy Birthday to me

Today is a special day for me it is my Birthday. I have been getting lots of goodies and birthday wishes from friends here on Spark People. It is so nice to be remembered on this day.

I have also received emails from friends and businesses wishing me a Happy Birthday. One in particular was from Day Spring. I really enjoyed the message and want to share it here.

You Are Special

It is nice to be reminded that each of us is special by being just who we are.

The world likes to make us believe that if we buy this or that our lives will be better. More attractive to others by what we wear or the vehicle we drive.

However, it is what we feel inside that makes the difference and if we want to make any changes then they should be for ourselves and not for impressing others.

Today was a day of rest on the 28 Day workout plan but I wanted to workout and I did the Gold Gym's Everyday energy DVD. It is broken into 3 10 minute sections and I did 2 of them. They were the energy boot camp and the metabolism boost. I have to admit after I did them this morning that I do feel more energetic.

So even though it is my birthday I want to wish everyone a great day and a reminder that you are special to me. It is great having such a wonderful site with such great people to motivate me to reach my goals.
