I did day 4 which was the Cardio Burst video again. I still had problems with the boxing section but I did seem to get the arms down a little better than I did on Thursday.
I did the video before I got ready for Church this morning.
It was interesting that the sermon today was about our walk with the Lord and how we need to change our lives. Our minister mentioned how we have a tendency to try and throw out everything from our old lives but not replacing it completely with the Lord. If we don't replace our old ways with the Lord's way, we will go back to the old ways and usually add additional sins.
This hit home to me with not just my Christian life but also with my Healthy life style. When we try to throw out all of our bad habits at once we get frustrated and feel like we are a failure. So the yo yo affect happens.
I realize that I need to do small steps and add to it. That is why I am doing just the 28 boot camp DVD consistently and drinking my water. If I have time I will add additional exercise in but I want to do all 28 days through this time.
It is like the Fruit of the Spirit Galatians 5:22-23 -- But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. These are what we need to replace sin with but as my minister said that they are building blocks. You can not have one before the other. If you don't have love you won't find joy without joy there is no peace etc.
I hope you can make sense of what I am trying to say even if you are not religious I hope you understand that it is the small changes that adds up in the long run.
If you can't give up all soda at once, cutting back to just one a day. This is what I am doing and I notice that when I have been drinking more water and tea that the one glass of soda doesn't seem as satisfying as it use to be. I hope to eventually cut out all soda but I know it is one step at a time.
It just seemed that God was speaking to me today about changing my life one step at a time as I walk with Him. So I had to write about it.
