Today I have already done 35 minutes on the Wii and plan to add additional walking / DVD's this afternoon.
Today's thought: I will rejoice at the example of others who have lost weight!
This was from an email I received today from Devotions for Dieters.
It really made me think that sometimes we get jealous of the fact that others are reaching their goals and we have not. However we need to be happy for them and use it to motivate us knowing that it is possible to reach our goals. We just need to remember that everybody is different and it responds differently to change.
As I tell customers if everyone was the same there wouldn't be a need for so many types of wine. It is the same with exercise and diet, what works for you may not work for me and vice versa.
This was a great jumping board to getting my streak going again. My next goal is to continue the streak through the first day of Summer which is 92 days away.
Today I did 35 minutes on the Wii as well as some walking. Also we racked our Blackberry Mead today so that was a lot of work as well as cleaning.
Quote of the Day:"Be not afraid of life. Believe that life is worth living, and your belief will help create the fact."– William James
We all need to believe that life is worth living. That is when we have the most fun. It can be the little things like walking in the sun or big like playing with our kids. When we are healthy and fit life is so much more fun.
A cold wet day today. It rained off and on almost the whole day. So I did get in some extra workout time today. I did 60 minutes on the Wii as well as doing some strength training.
Quote of the Day:"Forget past mistakes. Forget failures. Forget everything except what you're going to do now and do it."– William C. Durant
It is so easy to remember what we did wrong but we need to forget the mistakes and look forward to what we are going to do to change our life for the better.
What rewards have you used to motivate you to keep working out? I have started a fund to be able to pay for my dress and shoes for the wedding. I am putting one dollar a day that I workout. If I workout everyday until his wedding, I should have over $250 dollars saved.
I can't believe that Spring is only 4 days away. Still going strong with doing 30 minutes on the Wii and adding additional exercise. I did Part 1 Leslie Sansone Walk at Home 5 Mile Fat Burning Walk a 12 minute mile walk today as well as her 3 min mini walk and T-Tapp Hoe Downs: 3 minutes of carb busting all of these were available on YouTube.
It is surprising how much is available on it. This will make it easier for me to workout when I am traveling in April for the Women's National Bowling Tournament in Reno.
That is why I am trying to find different videos to do to add some variety and enjoyment to my exercise.
Quote of the Day
"Without passion man is a mere latent force and possibility, like the flint which awaits the shock of the iron before it can give forth its spark."– Henri Frédéric Amiel
We all have the same 24 hours in the day but until we find our passion for getting healthy nothing will happen. We have to find the magic / belief that we can obtain our goals.
We all need to have self respect! This is one great picture. I am going to print it out so I can see it everyday.
