This Christmas

Wednesday, December 22, 2010

This Christmas, enjoy your giving and receiving, good food and fellowship, but don't forget to spare a thought for those less fortunate than yourself.

Daddy's gonna eat your fingers!

Tuesday, December 21, 2010

A father was packing for his business trip and his three year old daughter was having a wonderful time playing on the bed. At one point she said, 'Daddy, look at this' , and stuck out two of her fingers.

Trying to keep her entertained, he reached out and stuck her tiny fingers in his mouth and said,
'Daddy's gonna eat your fingers,' pretending to eat them.

He went back to packing, looked up again and his daughter was standing on the bed staring at her fingers with a devastated look on her face.

He said, 'What's wrong, honey?'

She replied, 'What happened to my bogey?'

Just the best Christmas

Monday, December 20, 2010

This time last year was the last day of my radiation treatment for breast cancer. It was a very 'careful' Christmas in 2009.

2010 finds me in remission, feeling fit and healthy, and so looking forward to spending part of Christmas Day with DS and my two grandies.

I think after a health scare one tends to appreciate more, all the things that life has to offer, and make every post a winner.

Wishing everyone at SP a very Merry Christmas!!! Thanks for being you!!!

Rosie and Crayfish

Monday, December 20, 2010

Rosie is my brother's German Shepherd. She is 15 years old and very docile. Rosie had a major brain operation 9 days ago and pulled through. She is my brother's baby and it would've been a shocking Christmas for him if Rosie hadn't made it. The cost of the operation was $5,500, so with the $$ and her age, it gives you an understanding of how much a pet can mean to someone.

My brother paid a visit with an early Christmas present. DH and I will be having crayfish for dinner. Yummo!

Way to go Rosie. I understand how pets can be children, mine have their own room and are pampered all the time. One has had to be on IV hookups a couple times, but money was not a problem as long as he was ok. I wish the best for all of you this holiday season. Merry Christmas :D

Spread The Spark

Saturday, December 18, 2010

I tried to buy a SparkPeople T-Shirt and a fridge magnet from the Spark Store but the page doesn't cater for overseas purchasers.

After emailing Shumsky they processed my order via email instead. They were very quick and efficient.

So in another month's time I shall show off my Sparkin' T-shirt and Spread the Spark in Tasmania.

I don't know how much the T-shirt is, but it is probably more than that. Wow!
