Salt Water Cleanse.

Wednesday, February 18, 2009

Ok. So I did the "Master Cleanse" before I got pregnant with my daughter and it was HARD but I did feel some effects of it [not to mention i was already like 500 xs healthier then], so I think I'm up for another cleanse now. I'm not doing the Master Cleanse because it requires living off of a liquid diet for 10 days and um.. thats like IMPOSSIBLE considering the hectic life I lead... plus theres no way I could come home and cook dinner for my fiance and not totally drool all over his food if I was drinking lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne pepper... yeahhh. lol

All you do with the salt water cleanse is... well... drink salt water! Its a simple mixture... 2 tsps salt per quart of water. Get up at like 5 am.... drink the whole mixture... wait for it to clean out your digestive system. [aka bowel movement] and go about your day. They just recommend bland or natural foods you would feed to a baby because your intestines will be taken back to their original form [like when you were a baby]. You do that for 10 days and supposedly feel a million times better, more energy, etc. So I'm going to give it a go. :)

If anyones tried this I'm open to suggestions. All I've really found so far is like I said, eat natural, and drink lotsss of water so your body isn't holding onto the salt afterwards.

Wish me luck!

It says you're supposed to use sea salt - not regular table salt. Wasn't sure if you knew that already. Apparently this is an ayurvedic technique? I don't really know about it, but I certainly prefer the idea of a cleanse that includes food! A high fiber diet will also help clean out your system. Good luck!

HEY!! While you were gone I blogged a FREAKED OUT blog and then deleted it the next day. I just found out I am pregnant with #4! I deleted the blog b/c there are people I work with on SP and I don't want the word to get out at work just yet.

Needless to say this is a TOTAL shock! I am about 7 weeks according to my calculations.... THIS ONE BETTER BE A GIRL!

Hey maybe a positive attitude is shining thru to make you look skinnier? That sounds good right? Wish me luck, I am going to Dallas this weekend and tend to overeat. Going to the Lonesome Dove Bistro in Ft. Worth Stockyards with my hubby on Sat. night. And I plan on eating whatever the hey I want!!!! So that means the rest of the trip we are going to have to be strong (that being me and my sis who is a sparker too). Can't wait to meet up with you to wipe some virtual boogers.

avoiding this place.

Thursday, September 11, 2008

Ok, so... ive totally been a naughty, naughty dieter the past few weeks. Sure, everyone has their off days, and you cant beat yourself up about that... but i have had an off TWO WEEKS! im talking... in two weeks i have been to the gym once and been on ONE walk. i have been eating like some food crazed maniac and then wonder why the scale is so STUCK on 177. it was only a .4 lb gain overall.. but still.. i should be on my way to 170 by now..

i have been avoiding weigh ins (i mean ive been weighing just not tracking because i HATE to post the same weight... or even worse... my .4 lb gain!) so therefore i have been getting on here as minimally as possible - and thats got to stop! lol

i feel REALLY pathetic. the good thing about this website is i can see my friends have been struggling too... and while we have been TRYING to be motivational to one another... something just isnt clicking! atleast not with me!!

so i decided i would do the slimfast thing for a week to try and get back on track.. only... REDRDR03 is totally right.. i am ALREADY burnt out! i feel SO hungry during the day that i gorge during my "regular meal" dinner. last night we had steak and shrimp... and i ate my whole steak... and like 8 little shrimp lol. i did only eat lean steak and i dont know how fattening shrimp is.. but... still! and yet again this morning i feel famished!

i dont know why this is so hard this time around? i never remember feeling like this my first month?? it was a long hard road the first month.. i went from seeing hardly any weight loss to seeing a big jump in about 2 weeks... but even when i was barely losing i felt like i could stick it out... now i feel... i dont know... discouraged? lazy? like its too hard??? i cant do it???

i think REDRDR03 is also right that im looking WAY to far into the future. this is going to have to be a daily challenge for me or else ill never get to my ultimate goal. 40 lbs seems soooo far.

i need some motivation. pronto.

Oh, you poor thing! I feel the same way. My sis has been in town (evacuated Ike to my house) and we always seem to just want to snack when we are together. So I kind of gave myself a pass for a couple days, and wound up gaining my fluctuating lb that comes and goes. I guess you could say I am on a plateau. that is what really stinks, just means I have to do MORE work to get that scale moving.
'c'mon gal we can do this, just stay in touch and we will get through this together!

Well... my sweet friend, I was in your shoes just last week! I got sick... I took two weeks off! Then I GAINED .4lb! So what did I do? I told myself that the gain was simply proof that I GOTTA work at this! So I SLOWLY but surely got back on the wagon this past week and it paid off! I has a NICE loss this week!

We all have slumps. We just gotta PULL ourselves out of them. IT WILL PAY OFF!!!!

I think we've ALL been right where your at before...but, please...please don't beat yourself up so much!! What are 5 positive things about yourself? I'm sure your not really lazy, and I know you CAN do it!!!

Have you tried taking any suppliments? I got these green tea suppliments that seem to work quite well at helping me not feel like I need to eat the entire kitchen....cupboards and all!!!

Good Luck!!!
