Well between Christmas, Mystery Shopping, I am having a carb overload week.
I could blame my minivan because this year it decided to be a warm weather car. It's fuel line froze on 17th and I panicked and cancelled the 3 fast food mystery shops I had lined up on 18th, 19th, 20th. Well it started fine the next day after sitting in the church parking lot overnight. At this time I didn't not realize my fuel line was freezing up. So I rescheduled these shops for Christmas eve, 26th and 27th.
So I played Santa on the 18th by delivering our annual Headstart Christmas gifts sponsored by our Presbyterian Church because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to deliver on Thursday. Then off to my mechanic I went. Told him the problem - of course he couldn't help since it was RUNNING! My church friend had recommended fuel injector cleaner and heat. Well I did the cleaner but didn't do the heet.
When I got home, instead of parking the car in front on the steep incline driveway, I parked it on the side of the near the driveway with the front end facing the street on a mostly level spot. It started the 19-21. And I was still parking it the same way.
Well Christmas eve came, went to do my shop and minivan won't start. So I peeked under the hood and noticed I didn't have any antifreeze in that container (it was bone dry)!! I went to my shed and found my containers of antifreeze. I called my church friend to come and help me. Once he got there and filled my container, he asked did I put the heat in. I said no because the mechanic didn't say do it. So he made a run to Dollar General and got 2 bottles. We never did get it to start.
So I ended up asking my visiting college daughter if she could help me do my shop. She let me drive her car. That was an experience! So that one got done. Christmas day Minivan still not starting. Today - it wouldn't start even with temps up to 45 degrees. So I had to call my BFF. Luckily she was able to help me out.
I have a plan for tomorrow's shop, BFF will be expecting my call around 11am if I still can't get my minivan to go. This time her daughter will be helping me by letting me borrow her car.
If I can ever get my minivan started I will be parking it in front of my home on a very steep incline of a driveway where the back end will get warmed up by the sun. I had no problems when it was parked that way in below freezing temps at night. LOL If the problem doesn't stop, I may just have to cancel my January 6th VA Hospital appointment for the annual mammogram. I usually leave for those appts by 7am to get there for 11:30 am and then back home before my son gets off the school bus 3:45 pm.
I can hope that the below freezing temps at night stop. And I am not feeling guilty or bad by having a heavy carb week because once the Christmas leftovers are gone I will get right back on track. I tracked just about every bit on indulgence!

Black Friday ~ I went to my Aunt & Uncle's house to drop off the extra router I got from repairing my bff's internet. Then went into town to run errands (gas at Murphy's, Church business and just a little food shopping. Well I had to buy those 2 pr of PJ's I found (my other ones were falling off). along with my almonds, ice cream, Hershey kisses with the candy cane pieces (Church Women's party), Pork Roast and BACON!!! Well I left my 14 yro son at home, gone 3 hours. I return home to find out the HOUSE of sucked up the Cable Remote!!! My son could not remember where he laid it down. We searched every where......So then I go running back to town to add $15 to my cable bill (taxes, etc). Just what I want to do.
Saturday ~ great day - did a few more things pertaining to the Women's Christmas party, Cleaned my minivan out of excess not needed. Will Vacuum another day.
Sunday ~ I fixed breakfast for my son, protein shake for me, showered and got ready for church. Son prefers to stay at home unless it's potluck Sunday. There's only him and another teenager at our church. I run the Sound Booth. Church ran a little over because of Communion. Went to store for milk and cat food. Got home and my son is complaining NO INTERNET!!!
So I hit the reset on the back of router. Nothing again, I unpluged it, still nothing for the 2 laptops, School Ipad, Smart Phone and Kindle Fire HD!!
Called tech support for the Motorola Router/cable modem - they told I could get FREE Tech support via the Web or pay them $30 an hour. He thought something was interfering with the wireless connection!
Next I called Staples - Talk to Tech - Told him what I had, what the problem was. He told me to call Suddenlink and have them PING the modem. If they could ping it - it's my router part, If they can't then it's on their end.
Called Suddenlink, their agent told me to unplug it, unscrew cable and replug/rescrew. They still couldn't see the modem on their end. I was all set to run to Staples ~ I was busy undoing the cords again when my son say "It's Working!" I said "Really! I just unplugged it!". Then it didn't work. So I replugged / rescrewed again and it is still working. Fixed a really late lunch (3 p.m.)
Do you think the 1st Cable Remote will quit playing Hide n Seek? I truly wish those things had BEEPERS or a # to call so it would make a sound! And I do hope the Gremlin is on a diet or visits their relatives!
