So what has been going on. First of all, it's hotter than I don't know what here. Hades would be cooler than this. I'm not a big fan of sweating when I'm doing nothing. I find it irritating.
As you recall we went shopping in the metro east area Tuesday. I bought mostly a lot of pet food and bulk groceries. Boring!!!!! I wanted to buy something more fun but was not in the mood really.
Wednesday morning I decided to get up early and get to town to get my errands and the rest of my shopping done before the stifling heat kicked in. I made sure I had my grocery list and errand list. I checked my purse and my wallet was missing. It's just a coin purse type thing and I didn't have a ton of money in it - $60 - $70 and some change. A receipt. No I.D. I got my son up and we searched the car and house for it and it was not here. So we recalled the last time we had seen it and it was when we stopped at a metro east mall 70 miles away so I could buy him a jalapeno pretzel at Auntie Ann's. He loves those. I figured it was gone for good but I decided to send the mall security an email and called the 3 places we went to after that. In the email I described the black coin purse, said where I might have lost it, mentioned the jalapeno pretzel, a receipt, and how much money was in it. I didn't think I would see it again but later that day I received a call from the mall security who said they had found a little back coin purse. They had not opened it yet but when he did he said it had a receipt for the pretzel and the money was all there. Unreal. It's really nice to know there are honest people out there. The person who turned it in didn't even leave their name but I so wish they knew that they did a really great thing because the mall security officer, all my friends, and I admire this stranger. I'm not sure why I was so lucky but my son reminded me that if similar circumstances had happened to me I would have done the same and I would have. Like I always tell everyone, I am truly blessed.
So yesterday I went to do the errands - newspapers, bank, post office, power bill, Wal-mart, Kroger, Lowes, and meat market. I had to find a part for the shower head as it broke. I came home and we put it up and I made supper.
Hubby spent the evening searching for a guitar pick as he has lost all of his. This man would lose his butt if it wasn't tied on. He drove us insane and even wanted to search in my son's room and in my stuff. "You want to rifle through my bra and underwear drawers looking for a guitar pick? Get a grip!" It was crazy. My drawers are arranged neatly. His are a total mess. So today I had to go back to town to buy him some new picks. I bought a bunch. I found another bra and a purse on sale. Plus I needed a new TV Guide. So I was compensated. LOL.
I am still behind on emails and have a very busy day planned tomorrow with lots of work at home.
The interstate has been shut down most of the day as a lethal 4 semi wreck occurred. I had been on it today.
It is storming!!
