I am receiving a lot of emails about my internet problem so I thought I would clear up some of the confusion. I have Alltel High Speed Mobile Internet. It was about our only option here. We are in a very rural area and in a gray area. And we have never had a credit card. On Saturday May 1 we had rain and storms and major internet problems. We finally called on May 4 when it did not improve and Alltel informed us that it is a problem with a Verizon tower which is the closest to us and it would take up to 14 business days to get it fixed. People in our area are having problems with their cell phones too as Verizon and Alltel are the chief carriers here. So every day I drive 5 miles and try to find a place where I can get a signal long enough to allow me to get some posts answered until my laptop is out of battery. At home it barely works. Two days ago it took an hour and half to post one message I had to get posted. I can download messages and not send them. As of today I have email 400 messages and get further behind every day. When I do get online I have to take care of team leader business so everything else waits. You can imagine how upsetting it was to me when I finally read my emails in in inbox and one of my friend's husband had died.
It turned cool and nasty here. Cloudy, rainy, gloomy, windy, damp Saturday and will rain every day.
I had a nice Mother's Day. I fixed breakfast and did a load of laundry and then went for a long walk with hubby before we headed for the metro east St. Louis area. We took our mobile internet and it didn't work until we got out of the county which is around 20 miles. It worked fairly well in the metro east area. We went to Wal-Mart, Sam's, Dierbergs, Petsmart, the mall and Barnes and Noble. We ate at Culver's as I didn't feel like going to a sit down dinner as I had bad allergies over there. My boys bought me the new South Beach cookbook. YEAH!!
I am staying within my calorie range, carb range and getting my exercise in.
