I overslept today 20 minutes so I got a late start and had to play catch up all day. It rained all day long so I had to do my outdoor chores in the rain. Not fun. It was cold and the temps dropped all day. There is sleet about 75 miles west and north of here. Maybe closer. I hope my son makes it home from Taekwondo before the temps drop any further. It's 35 degrees. The weather is supposed to be crappy all week.

With the cooler temps my appetite has skyrocketed and my arthritis is whining. LOL.

I did 4 loads of laundry today and intended to get my checkbook balanced but I didn't. My son wants clothes for Xmas and I have to figure out how much I can afford to spend. We may go shopping tomorrow if I'm up to it.

The high school called this morning at 6:08 for my son to sub so I got up and got busy. I made breakfast, got dressed, and quickly did my indoor and outdoor chores. I made a grocery list and was out of the house really early to do my errands. I went to the post office, paid the water bill, went to the newspaper office, the bank, and 3 grocery stores. I made it home by 12:30 P.M. and put it all away before making supper. I was ahead on exercise all day long too. Ate okay as well.

Today was sunny by rather chilly. The temps were in the upper 30 and lower 40's for much of the day and there was a gentle breeze which made things seem cooler. At noon it wasn't too bad outside so I did most of my outdoor chores then.

My husband returned to work after being off for 5 days. My son didn't get called to work so he got a hair cut and washed his truck.

I ate on plan but was behind on my exercise most of the day and was always playing catch up. I hope to do better tomorrow at keeping up so I don't have to do too much as one time.

I used the crock pot and made some turkey vegetable soup with navy beans and barley added as there was only about a cup of turkey left. I wasn't much in the mood for it when I started it but later it started to smell really good and I tasted it and was hooked. We had some raspberries and pickled cucumbers for supper too.

I love using leftovers for soup! Whatever is leftover in the frig generally goes into my soups along with spices, rice, noodles, whatever I have. And like you, it smells so good you can't help but love it!!! Report Inappropriate Comment

Ah, didnt' think about beans in the soup, much better than noodles. I already loaded it up with veggies though. I'm going easy on the noodle part, too many empty calories. Maybe some kidney beans? The End of the Thanksgiving vacation

It was much cooler today and gloomy. It sprinkled a little. We went for a couple of hikes and didn't get wet though.

We finished the last of the thanksgiving leftovers except for some pumpkin mousse. I made the meal as healthy as possible but assumed that the meal was still a little calorie laden but when I added the numbers up it really wasn't. I did better than I thought.

We got the flower pots put up so we are getting closer to being ready for winter now. Just a few odds and ends left to do.

It was nice and cool here in South Florida all weekend long! After pouring down rain on Wednesday of last week, it cleared up on Thanksgiving leaving us with cooler weather for the weekend. I had the windows and screen door open the whole time and enjoyed the fresh air instead of air conditioning. Of course, my chihuahuas wanted to bark at everyone that walked by but what's a little noise in a quiet neighborhood, huh? LOL... I'm glad you made a lot of good choices for Thanksgiving. I did the same since I cooked 80% of the Thanksgiving meal at my best friends house. The turkey was the best one I've ever made...so juicy and tender:-) I wish we had the same changes in the seasons here as you do...but the one thing that I do love about Florida is the winter time. You've done so well! I am impressed about the exercising. We went out of town and it stormed and was bitter cold I didn't make it outside except for a walk through town on Sunday morning. I wanted to do more, but I just couldn't face the wind and rain. Its great that your eating went well. I 'think' mine did, but I'm not entirely sure. Our at-home Thanksgiving was fine, but out of town we ate at small restaurants with no nutritionals. Since we were talking & visiting, I just stopped eating when I was full and covered my plate. I didn't even think about it but friends mentioned it .. "do you want to leave that?" I replied that I did... after all, I was full. That surprised even me! Report Inappropriate Comment

WTG w/ the healthy Thanksgiving!! Mine was...not quite so healthy and my scales reflected that fact LOL!! I really kicked hiney in the house during Thanksgiving break. The house is decorated for Christmas and I've decluttered a couple of the kids' spaces that were out of control!! Ahhh.....feels good. I think that sometimes i've eaten too much also and am surprised to find it wasn't. I pretty much am used to how much to eat, but I ALWAYS write it down, just to be sure. I want to try to eat a few days on the Low side of my calorie allowance. It seems I'm always at the top. But I do walk a lot so far it's been ok. Have a great week. Great Day

What a fantastic day!! The weather was wonderful. Sunny and warm.

I had a lot of chores to do but rushed through them so I could spend as much time as possible outside.

Hubby and I went for two long hikes. We saw several deer and watched the squirrels play and the bird gathering at the feeders. We used both of our swings and sat on the bench by the garden too.

I cleaned out the last annual bed and we dumped the dirt out of all the flower pots, washed them out, and left them to dry overnight.
