Missed another activity

I missed the Christmas Sights and Sounds activity today. When I called and cancelled she said she would try and get someone who hadn't been able to sign up to come since my sandwich etc would already be ready. Hope they like roast beef and someone does make it. I still have to pay regardless and would prefer if someone enjoys it. I did toy with the idea of going and eating and just miss the walk to see sights and the concert at Landmark center. I'm absolutely going to go to the concert we sing tomorrow. I'm so sick of being sick. At least I'm on the down side and getting better. I did have a coughing and sneezing spell when I tried to eat.

Change my goal

Since I've been sick this past week and messed up my goal of keeping my commitments I've decided to make a new goal of taking care of myself. I missed the concert today. My voice was pretty hoarse yet and knew I'd croak if I was able to get my voice to work at all. I'm ready to be done with this but I think I feel worse today than yesterday. Gail was sweet enough to pick up my book that was ready at the library. She took 4 back too. She came back through Macy's. Before she got back I thought I heard her but when I went out it hadn't been her it was the concierge with an Herbalife order.

Then again none of my visitors came to see me. Neil came on Friday for Rachel's birthday celebration this weekend. He and Gail left Saturday for Rachels and stayed overnight. Neil stopped on Sunday to pick up his things on his way home. Bailey called Saturday and came and spent the night because her block is not cleared quickly and the parking is iffy. She made it home Sunday and managed to get into a spot someone had shoveled out but the plows still hadn't come down her street. Gail brought Lindsay, Rachel, Isaac, and Aria home with her Sunday. They went shopping at Macy's, ate supper at Senor Wongs, and went swimming. I was in bed by the time they came back from Senor Wongs. I did get out of bed in time to say good-bye this morning and it was way earlier than usual for me. Hopefully I get a nap this afternoon. I'm still not feeling well and my throat hurts and am coughing up stuff. I'm hoping to make it to the concert tomorrow though.

Strange Sunday

Mainly because of the weather. My play was cancelled which I was very happy about since I was much too sick to go. I don't seem to be getting better and it seems to have loosened up and I now have a productive cough. Yesterday at 3:30 Bailey called and said she didn't think she'd be able to get a place to park and maybe not even home since Minneapolis does their snow removal so strange and could she come here as it's closed and I have a public garage she can park in. So she came and it was nasty getting here and stayed the night and went home about 2. They still hadn't cleared the side of the road they do first in their odd/even thingy but someone had cleared a spot to get out and she was able to get in.

The Vikings were supposed to play the Giants at noon today but couldn't get here and were in Kansas City. Then this morning the metrodome where they play had several panels in it's roof cave in from the weight of the snow. So now they will be playing in Detroit tomorrow night.

Gail and Neil went to Rachels yesterday and said it was horrible and they got stuck and they stayed the night there. Gail just called a bit ago and said they were all coming here and staying the night. Gail, Rachel, Lindsay, Isaac, and Aria. I said I was about ready to go to bed which I'm so tired I am. She said they'd be quiet. I think they are going to Macy's first so they get there before they close.

Made the right decision yesterday

I made the right decision yesterday to not go sing with the chorus. I'm worse today and very hoarse and having trouble breathing and talking let alone sing. Now tomorrow will be another story. Fortunately I have someone picking me up and bringing me home. If they even have it. The weather is quite frightful and with a busload of Senior Citizens that don't want to fall they may decide not to. The only problem is they've already ordered the food and would have to probably forfeit something. It's not much of a bus trip and we'd only get off and on once. It's at Fun Theater/OOps Theater, a dinner theater. Ole and Lena's Christmas I think. If I didn't have a ride and had to walk the 8 blocks with the bus to get to Bethesda to catch the bus I'd probably cancel. Gail's family are all at Rachel's celebrating her birthday. They were going to go down town Minneapolis to Macy's exhibit Day in the Life of an Elf and then the holidazzle parade. The parade might not make it tonight because of the blowing snow. Although they have had it during some pretty severe weather. I know they cancel if it's too cold. It's supposed to be getting colder too. Minnesota in the winter. Although it's not winter yet.
