I had a busy day today. Gail, Rachel, Isaac, and I went to the SPCO's Sound of Strings. Rachel picked us up around 9 and we went around the block and it was too snowy to park outside so she parked in the Macy's parking ramp. We had to walk a couple blocks but managed to find the place. I mostly watched because there are only two sides of Isaac and Gail was on one and Rachel the other. I could have danced and waved streamers though. He made a hat with stickers on it, got his face painted, threw sand bags at hats, and made a string instrument with a paper cup, rubber bands and stickers. He tried playing a violin and made sounds and loved it and wanted to go back on do it more after the concert. He played a game that you pick a picture of an instrument and tell whether it's string or not and he got them all right. Then there was about half an hour concert with string instruments and kids could move along and dance along. It was for 3-6 year olds to encourage them to like orchestra music. I think a lot were younger than 3 and older than 6.
We had lunch at Macy's and I had to catch the van at Macy's to get to the concert. It was the St Bernard's Men's club Christmas party and they wanted an hour although we usually only do half an hour. We added 3 sing-a-longs at the beginning and 2 at the end. They were partying and talking a lot.
