I had to take 3 books back to the library because one of them was a day overdure and I owed $.25 on it. I also picked up 3 books one of which I have to have read for the Mystery Spark Team chat tonight. Then I stopped across the street to watch the lighting of the Christmas tree and Fireworks. It was supposed to be at 5 and I left the library at 5 to 5 but they didn't do the Lights and Fireworks until 20 after. There was chorus' singing, people singing, and lots of talking, much of what I could only half hear. There was packed cars, gridlock around the park, lots of people with children coming after 5. The whole thing started at 4 but I didn't care if I heard all the speeches. It was really crowded in the park and most people had those colored lighted flashlight flashing things. They may have been giving them away. I thought there might be cheese curds for sale on the other side of the park but I didn't have any money anyway, just enough for the fine. It was pretty impressive once it lit up and the fireworks went off. The big tree was colored lights and the trees around it white but I must say the colored was way better. The fireworks went off right by the tree and I was surprised they did it so close to all the people. The stuff that might have fallen would have fallen on the people. It sounds like that park in Portland was packed like this that the terrorist was trying to blow the truck up. Scary.
Lori's dog Sassy is finally having her puppies. She's been in the house for awhile and has figured how to huff and pant to make Lori give her back rubs. They were going to come and pick some things up from Bailey's but now will have to do that some other time. Matilda the wild kitty would tease Sassy so much Lori took her to her Mother-in-Laws on Thanksgiving.
