Darn Beeping

Monday, June 28, 2010

I woke up to some beeping thinking it was my alarm clock. I rarely set it and even more rarely sleep until it goes off so I don't know why I thought it was my clock. It was one of the machines outside making the noise so even when I tried to shut off my alarm it didn't quit. LOL.

My feet aren't happy with me for walking so far yesterday in shoes not meant for it. I was dressed for the Passport Players Play which went very well. Some others were leaving so I left before some singing because I needed to listen to cds of the Mystery SparkTeam's chat selection. I did manage to get it all listened to although there was parts that was damaged or something because it didn't play right. Gail has her big radio, cd/tape player on top of the TV stand and I'm not tall enough to use it so I had to get the stool and climb up and down. It was a good chat. I got exercise at the church too piling chairs up.

Poor Gail. She got really sunburned at the air show. She was wearing a spagetti strap top so front and back got it. Her chin did too because she was tipping her head to look up. A tiny bit on the end of her nose.

    Ouch, sunburns are uncomfortable.

I live on a relatively quiet street, so any noise wakes me up. I know what you mean about the beeping waking you up. Hopefully the construction will be finished soon.

I hate alarm clocks! I must get to the place where I don't need them either! I have been doing well over the summer, getting up before the mandatory time. The school year is tougher since I start skimping on sleep

I love your blogs, upbeat and tempo is how I would describe you I think, thanks for brightening my day - even if its 5:05pm here and so hot and sticky I need to wallow in a tub of cold water!

Passport Players Perform today

Sunday, June 27, 2010

We are putting on a performance at Christ Lutheran Church at 2pm today. I'm not sure how performers manage to put on such great performances day after day. Especially for long playing plays. We still read our parts mostly but you'd think those that have been doing this play for about 3 years would have it memorized by now. I have finally got the song down without help. The name of the play is "You're Married to My Ex-husbands Ex-wife". It is cute and funny and evidently based on one of the players actual life.

Mystery Reader's SparkTeam has a mystery chat tonight. I picked up CDs from the library yesterday but haven't listened to it yet. I ordered a book from Amazon but it didn't come yet. That's happened before that I didn't get the book until after the chat only that was from the library. It's an MC Beaton Agatha Raisin book and I've read over a dozen of those books and the blurp on the back sounds familiar.

I very dislike having to wait longer than you should for books that I've ordered.
About your Passport Players Group, the name of the play sounds like it would be a light hearted and fun play. I'm assuming this isn't performed every week, but would think from getting together and practicing , lines would be learned without having to read them after three years.
have a fun time with the group today.

Where Did the Day Go

Saturday, June 26, 2010

It's already 7 pm and I'm just now getting on here. I usually do first thing in the morning but today I finished reading a book I planned on finishing last night. Lori called so I didn't finish and I wanted to take it back today. I took 4 back and picked 4 up so have the same number. Although one is a tape not a book. It's the one we are going to chat about tomorrow night for our Mystery Readers Spark team.

Passport players have a performance tomorrow at 1.

I know my day went fast too. Of course getting up late, helped it pass really quickly.

Sherlock Holmes and the Jersey Lily

Friday, June 25, 2010

Gail and I went to this play at Park Square Theatre last night. It was hilarious and I really enjoyed it. I'm getting so I reconize the actors as some of the same ones are in their plays. We walked over and back so with walking to chorus practice in the morning I got plenty of walking exercise. It could storm today and over the weekend so I might not get out and walk as much.

Glad you liked the play. My mom and I used to go to have season tickets the repertory theater. I always found it interesting to see what parts the regular actors played. Of course I always had my favorites.

Have a good weekend.

Forced my body out of bed

Thursday, June 24, 2010

Once again I managed to force my body out of bed and go to chorus practice. It's one of my goals to get up because once I do I'm ok. Pretty much. Way better than I expected when I force myself up. I'm glad I went because there was a new song handout and a schedule, sign up for the van for the next two concerts, 6/30 and 7/8, directions to those concerts, and a flyer for a couple of activities.

Bailey came to visit this afternoon. She hasn't been here for a few weeks, partly because last week we had a concert.

Tonight Gail and I go to a play at Park Square Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Jersey Lily.

Good for you to get up and get going. I left at 6:45 this morning to help make and serve breakfast to 50 youth who are camped out at church this week and helping with VBS. DH and I left at 9:15 to pick our grandson up at the airport and arrived back home at noon. I've been trying to get up from my chair ever since...had a nice nap. Now I hope to get up and get going.

Enjoy the play!

I love Sherlock Holmes..... I hope you have a good time. I played in an orchestra for a number of years during high school and college. It was fun, but I haven't kept up with my violin.

I've been feeling the same way the last few days - just dragging. With the move and the heat, I'm tired before 10 which is really unusual for me.

Chorus sounds like fun!

There are some fun events coming up in our area closer to Christmas. Hope you get to keep active! Best of luck with all your goals.
