Gail, Aria, and Isaac came to visit

Lindsay sent me some birthday cake and Gail, Aria, and Isaac brought it to me this morning. Lori had sent produce yesterday and Bailey brought it here and split it. I gave Gail some to take with them too. Lots and lots of tomatoes, peppers. canned green beans, pickles, and a watermelon. We had muskmelon from last time Lori sent produce, tomatoes, apples with cashew butter, and I gave Aria a banana I ate for lunch. Isaac said he was hungry and he are pretty well. Aria didn't want to sit still. She was fascinated with Morgan and managed to get hold of her. Morgan kept coming around because she wanted attention from Gail but Gail was pretty busy with lunch and the kids. Aria got in Morgan's food in the kitchen and litter in my bedroom. Gail said she couldn't catch Lindsay's cat Aubie.

Cloudy, Rainy, Dreary Day

Not that I've leaped up and whizzed around when it's been beautiful and sunshiny. But I feel even less energetic when it's so cloudy, rainy, and dreary outside. It's quite dark in here and as always rather chilly. I keep thinking I should call and see when they turn on the heat but my daughter that works at an answering service says most of their apartments don't turn on the heat until October 15th unless it's really cold.

Bailey is picking up and bringing probably the last of the produce Lori and Gary grew and harvested yesterday. I still have tomatoes from the last time.

  

Finally Bought some quarters

I buy a paper every day from a machine. It's $.50 a day and a dollar for Sunday. There are also parking meters on the streets that are less than the parking garages that take quarters. If you don't get a ticket that is. They must keep a close watch on the ones here since so many of the ones on the light rail route have been eliminated.

I think I said this last week too. We seem to do well in the first half and are doing well now. We have to figure out how to play the second half as well as the first.

It's my great grandson Isaac's 4th birthday today. He's celebrating today at his Aunt and Godmother Lindsay's. They are having a party next Saturday for him.

Too Cold

They haven't turned the heat on in this apartment complex yet and it's cold. I hate getting up to go to the bathroom during the night. I hate getting up in the morning and being cold so I stay in bed longer. I wear a sweatshirt and socks to bed now.
