Watching the Vikings

Sunday, September 18, 2011

Looking good on both sides of the ball. I like this.

Went to breakfast with Gail, Rachel, and Aria at Bakers Square. They were talking before we ordered and said eggs benidict was really fattening so of course that's what I ordered. I only ate one egg and half of one english muffin and none of the fruit. Of course I brought it home and Gail gave me her leftovers too. Except she gave Rachel the fruit for a treat for Isaac after Sunday school. I gave Gail some of the produce from Lori because I'm never going to eat it all. I don't know if she will be sending more or if the weather got too cold. Bailey said she'd take me to get Morgan's medicine either way.

Maybe my band is too tight

Saturday, September 17, 2011

Ever since Thursday I've been slightly nausous and can't eat very much. I thought it was upset from Morgan but not being able to eat seems more likely to be the band fill. They only put in .5cc and have put in more before but maybe since I had .5 last month too it's gotten fuller. I have all this produce from Lori I need to eat. I got the cantaloupe cut up today and had that for lunch.

Morgan has Chylophorax

Friday, September 16, 2011

I decided not to send the fluid they took out of her to find out for postive what it was because the vet said from the color she was pretty sure it was chylopohrax because if the milky color. The fluid is evidently lymph fluid. She has drained it an hopefully Morgan feels better and can breath. She is still struggling though. I will try to get the pills I'm getting down and the diet they want her to eat. However no surgeries or shunts for draining because even if you do that it isn't very successful. Both my daughter Gail and Dawn do healing work and they will work on Morgan and she will spontaneously resolve. This does happen.

Thank you for the update. I have great faith in hands on healing work. My sister does a lot and is a true healer. I am only able to alleviate small amounts of pain.

Morgan may have only 2 months to live

Thursday, September 15, 2011

That's what my vet told me today if I did nothing. That was after she took x-rays. She has lost at least 40% of her lung capacity. My poor kitty. No wonder she was having so many problems. She said it could be FIP or cancer etc. She's going to try and remove the fluid on her lungs and then I know she will call me and say there is no way to know what caused this without more x-rays and sending the fluid to be tested. I live on Social Security and have no money. I love my kitty. I just moved and lost my roommate daughter and was feeling lonesome without her but losing the kitty too would be really hard.

I haven't kept up as much as i usually do but feel so for you about Morgan. You know we have had a connection with the name and my Morgan is 15 and having hip problems so i now i won't have her long either. Your Morgan is so pretty, beautiful cat. I hope she responds to whatever treatment they can offer. I know how you feel, Georgine emoticon emoticon

I'm so sorry your kitty is so sick. It is so expensive to get them good vet care, I lost my sweet kitty a while back, and live on a fixed income too. Sending prayers and emoticon Rita

It is devastating, my son had to put his cat down, so sad. It's hard but the choice needs to be made, and most vets, don't take payments, when the cat is too sick.
Know what you going to do with the body, if you decide to have the cat put down, that is an extra charge if they get rid of it for you like $60, had my son been in full composure of himself, he would have made a different decision.

Time is the healer!

Hugs sent your way
Linda

Arsenic in Apple Juice?

Wednesday, September 14, 2011

Dr Oz is having a program on this subject. He's been recommmending Apple Juice and now found out that it can contain arsenic. Expecially because evidently some of the juice is made from concentrate made in other countries. There is no regulation of the amount of arsenic in juice. There is on water. Dr Oz is trying to get something regulating arsenic to be the same as water. Organic juice has no arsenic. Where is comes from is supposed to listed on the labels.

This was on the morning news. Someone, I think it might have been The Today Show, interviewed experts and even talked with Dr. Oz himself. Apparently, there are 2 kinds of arsenic and the experts are upset with him because he only tested (and talked about) arsenic in general without informing his audience of the 2 kinds (one being good and other being the kind we often think of - that can be lethal). They blamed him for ill-informed information and alarming the general public. He basically said that people have the right to know and that he will continue drinking and giving his children apple juice.

I don't generally watch Dr. Oz. But found the news reports interesting.
