Isaac Visited Overnight

Gail told me she was bringing Isaac overnight last night so I got everything done and was eagerly waiting for them. I thought they would be here by 6 or so but didn't get here until 7:30. Gail had a cancer group thing that was scheduled at 4 but was moved to 5 so she didn't get to pick up Isaac until 7. I heard them coming and went to the door to greet them. Isaac was running, pulling his little suitcase. He came in like a tornado and sucked all the energy out of the air and I'd forgotten what a presence he is. He'd found a toy in the trunk that they thought needed batteries. I managed to find a 9 volt and several AAs it needed but that wasn't the problem. He was unpacking his suitcase of mostly toys. I think I confused him when I said he packed liked his Uncle Jordan because I remember Jordan's suitcases often having toys in them. He did have pjs in there.

Gail had told me she was having a colonoscopy but I hadn't connected it to Monday when she didn't come home. Actually she had it done at her other home and it was in Alexandria. She was droozy and didn't feel up to driving here afterwards. She had some polps removed but they said they were benign. She'd also told me she had a class yesterday after her volunteer session last Tuesday. So she had told me she where she'd be I just hadn't connected it to when.

Where's Gail

I haven't seen Gail since Thursday night when I bagged up my dirty laundry for her. I ran out of underpants today and had to wear a non cotton one that used to give me yeast infections. Now I can get yeast infections in almost any skin fold. She used to come back Sunday night but since Neil's accident she seems to often stay and drive directly to work Monday. But by Tuesday I've seen her or evidence of her which I haven't. I commented to Bailey at 1pm yesterday that she hadn't come home. I got up several times during the night but couldn't find her and worried.

Bailey was here about 3 hours yesterday while her apartment swept their parking lot. I think that is so rude to expect disabled and Seniors to find somewhere to park for 3 hours. They do it for snow removal too but not that long. It was scheduled last Tuesday but it rained too much then. I called her at 9am yesterday to verify she was coming because it was supposed to maybe even snow.

In walking my 2 miles yesterday I went to Walgreens as part of the trip. I even remembered to take along a bulb I need replaced but forgot to get it. My back started hurting while I was in Walgreens and hurt by the time I got home. I put on guards for my calous and bunion but they still hurt. Today my knee hurts that I did wear a elastic thingy the orthopedic dr gave on. It's to help the muscle in the thigh that always starts to cramp when I walk. I need to be in good shape for Mother's day not falling apart.

Snow

I can't believe it. We're still getting some snow. Barely but still. Rain is bad enough when it's been days since I've seen the sun and I need the sun. I see there are even scattered showers predicted for Mother's day and if I'm busy walking I know they will find me because they just seem to.

Quiet Sunday

Next Sunday, Mother's day, some of my family are joining me on the Mother's day stroll for the cure. Some will race, run, or walk fast but I walk slow. LOL. Afterwards everybody is coming here for lunch. Everybody will bring something to eat. So far Lori is bringing ribs, Dawn cheesy potatoes and a fruit dessert, and I think Bailey coleslaw. Bailey is coming here tomorrow because they have once again scheduled the cleaning of the parking lot and they are required to move their cars and stay away about 3 hours.
