My Weight Goes Up and Down

I weigh myself every day when I get up. Therefore, there is lots of up and down. I went down today after going up for the past few days. I guess the cheese curds and chocolate/chocolate cake took their toll. Sometimes I wonder why I don't just resist all the temptation but do enjoy life and eating my favorites adds to the pleasure. Today Dr OZ has some of the most famous alternative progressive Dr's. I like to stay aware of these things and love SparkPeople and their articles.

Moderation would be my answer to this. I too have moments where I over-indulge, but it's usually during a period, and then I'll go days/weeks without anything sweet at all. Report Inappropriate Comment

Finally cleaned Morgan's litter box

I've been going to clean Morgan's litter box in the living room. Gail cleaned and changed the one in her bedroom so I was going to do the living room one. The litter wasn't clumping right, just disintegrating when thouched. I put papers down in case if spills which I spill more than Morgan. It did but managed to keep it on the paper. I cleaned it with bleach in the bathtub and put it down the stool. There was some stuff stuck on the botton that was really difficult to get out. I've seen liners advertised and think I may get some. I couldn't get all the litter out of the little mat it sits on.

The play was funny yesterday. Either the singers were bad singers or deliberately singing bad to be funny. It was freezing cold and I left my coat in the bus. The food was good and I bought a chocolate/chocolate piece of cake. I ate the frosting off and left most of the cake but still gained.

I'm going to see Ole and Lena in New York today. Originally I had to catch the bus at Bethesda at 3, then 2, now 1. So I should get to see most of the Super Bowl. I'm very fortunate that Nancy the leader today is picking me up and dropping me off. Of course Gail is in town and probably would have been willing to. She and Isaac are at the Science Museum right now. I hope they don't leave early to make sure I'm awake because when they left I said it I'm sleeping when you get home make sure I wake up. Gail got so upset with me when we missed each other in the skyway last night. She had visions of terrible things happening to me and I'm sure it spoiled the parade for her and Isaac. She said she called here to see if I came home but must have called before I got back. When they got home she raised her voicre to me and Isaac was scolding me too and wanting to know where I went. Brought back memories of when Bailey and I would have a disagreement the grandchildren would side with her.

Bailey just called and Taz has gone blind again. She hasn't been able to get him to take his high blood pressure medicine. It was 3 weeks the last time he went blind without it and now it's been 3 weeks again. She's glad he had a week to get used to the new apartment and seems to be able to get around. You can't tell with pets but she says he seems to take it better than she doe.

Exhausted

I went to the St Paul winter carnival torchlight parade with Gail and Isaac. I went to deposit my checks and when I went back in the skyway I couldn't find them. I think they dumped me. I watched for awhile but decided I was too tired. It's no fun watching alone anyway. The escalator is broken on the other side so we went outside but couldn't get in the door because it was locked. They took their coats because they want to see the fireworks and will have to be outside.

I did get my laundry done but it's still in the cart. I was supposed to call Lori at 4 but had forgotten. I was actually on the phone with Bailey at 4 but had to go get the laundry out of the dryer. When I got back Gail said Lori called so I didn't put away the clothes just called Lori.

Gail and Isaac went to Rice park to see the ice sculpters and brought me home some cheese curds I gave Gail money for.

Lindsay still sick

Lindsay tried to go home yesterday. Rachel took her to the bus and it started going everywhere picking people up because it hadn't been running and still wasn't running to Chicago. She was going to Milwaukee and it was going to take 9 hours and she got real sick about half way to Rochester. She called Rachel and Levi came and picked her up. Gail brought her home with her. When Gail got home I was in the bathroom and as I came I asked it Lindsay made it home ok. I heard silence and said oh is she with you and sure enough there whe was. She went to the Dr today at an urgent care. They said there is a virus going around. They said that way back when I was young (I'm 72) and didn't know what it was because virus's weren't understood.
