attended my first live meeting in the last few weeks, I sure did miss those, what a difference it makes to be able to talk/type with others and get fresh ideas.
I"ve been slacking a little bit on the types of foods I should be eating with my surgery, but I'm not gaining which is a plus. I hit my stall finally. Everyone kept saying it would happen about a month out but I kept going strong for the first 7 weeks.
Don't really have much to say other than that. I've been so busy with the kids, and appts and life.
Hope everyone is doing great and reaching their goals.
I have been doing a lot of walking and taking pictures. I just love Fall in Wisconsin. The changing colors, the nice temps. Its beautiful. and the temps here have been above average this year. Its been in the low 80's all week. So crazy but I'm loving it!
Stepped on the scale this afternoon and I'm down another 2.4lbs. I'm feeling amazing. I went a little silly on friday and took a ton of pics of myself.
And a few pics from my nature walks.
the old silo at my grandmas farm
This tree has been around my whole life, and I just love it. Every changing season looks amazing.
an old barn I was driving past and had to stop and take a picture of.
Leaves are so wonderful, always changing and no 2 are exactly the same.
Other than that, not really much going on. Just wanted to pop in and say hi and update my weight. Hope everyone is having a fantastic month so far and staying on track.
Another 4lbs down since thursday. I am 31lbs down since the day of surgery. Thats 31lbs in 35 days.
My computer is still down. I can't afford to fix it right now so my being on here is pretty random. It makes me sad, I am missing out on the live meetings and I love them. Hopefully soon....
Its been so nice out here lately, been out walking every night with the kids. The leaves have been changing for weeks and the colors are just amazing to see.
Aslo we had the kids pics done this last weekend. That was a whole mess of ugh I don't even want to talk about it or I"ll get angry all over again but...I took some pics of them being silly while we were there.
I went in for my first band fill today. Wow was that an interesting experience! I watched a lot of vids on it before surgery and a few after to get an idea of how its done and none of them prepared me for what they actually did.
My clinic does it in radiology. They use the live imaging so they can see exactly where the port is and exactly how much restriction its giving you. They had me lay down on the table and then gave me a shot to numb the area around my port. What a weird feeling as they put that needle into the port. So much tugging and moving around. Its not painful, just feels weird.
My port has turned sideways for some reason. He said that is very rare. He's never seen it before in any of his patients. Not saying its never happened before, just he's never seen it. He was able to get the needle into the port though by coming at it from a different angle. Took a little while. He said if they hadn't been able to access it they would have had to open me back up and fix the position.
He then filled my band full as he could with fluid and then pulled out what he thought was extra. He then had me drink some of the barium liquid. One small sip and I was burping and "full" He said ok perfect. I was like yikes! I've been sipping the same 6 oz of water for an hour now. I keep burping. I hope that goes down a little bit!
He said he kept in 2.4 of fluid. And he also said with this way of how they do the fill this is most likely the only fill I will need. Not sure if thats true or not but it would be great if it is!
down another 4lbs since my last appt with them. I thought it was 3.5 til I updated on here and it says 4. So I'll take 4! lol
Thats a total of 28lbs lost since surgery.
I"m feeling great. I've went down 2 pants sizes already. My energy is still lower than I'd like, lower than it used to be before surgery, but they said in time that will come back up. Just keep taking my vits and getting in my protein.
My computer is completely junk. I need to take it in to get fixed, or buy a new one, but I can't afford it right now so I'm using the kids computer when I can. I miss mine!
Things have been going good. I have been getting above my protein goals for the last few days, keeping my cals in range, I have been doing ok on the water but not great. Its hard to get in a lot of water when you can only drink so much at a time. Getting between 6-7 though so its close to where I want to be.
Vitamins are on track. I set up some timers on my phone to remind me when to take them. hopefully eventually I can just remember without help as I adjust. I have been doing at least 30 mins a day of walking.
I'm finally feeling better. Saturday I had a family reunion and I went to bed friday thinking no way do I feel like going but I woke up feeling great. Finally some energy and not feeling sick anymore. That was the longest cold of my life!
I apologize ahead of time if you comment and I don't reply. I try to get back to everyone and spread the love on your page too, but I'm so limited on computer time. My mobile will let me comment on my own blog and update some stuff like food and weight but it won't allow me open others pages. Very frustrating. but I do appreciate all of your support. so thanks in advance and I will get to you :)
