For several weeks now I haven't had a single soda. I've made sure to eat lots of fruits and veggies, drink lots of water, and I've been more active. I have so much more energy! In the past when I've gone on a weight loss kick, I've always lost steam and felt more tired than good. For some reason, I feel differently about it all this time. I am not dreading exercising as much as I used to, I actually look forward to it some days. Eating healthier is making me feel good about myself. I know how much to eat, so there isn't the stress of guessing and then not eating enough, feeling tired and then pigging out later.
I think a big part of it is seeing everything I eat by adding it to the tracker and knowing I did not go over my calories, and knowing I got enough protein and calcium and what not. It has really helped. Each day I read some articles for motivation, and that is helping as well. I know this is going to be a long journey and it will not happen fast, and for the first time in a long time I am ok with that. All I can do is take it one day at a time.
Hopefully next year around this time I'll have lost a significant amount of weight. There are so many things I want to do in my life, and I don't want my weight to get in the way anymore.
