So, it's been quite a while since my last blog. For those who don't know me, I lost alot of weight several years ago (5 yrs) with the help of a nutritonist. I had much success. Then I started feeling invincible, like I could do this on my own, I had the tools and I knew what to do. Then gradually, I put the wt back on, especially with the passing of my beloved Mother last September. So, fast forward to today....I have been working out regularly, food tracking, yet the scales are not budging after the first 5 lbs... Been toying with the idea of contacting the nutritionist again..(it is on the air force base here and is free since hubby is retired air force)... but then I think to myself..she will think Im a failure.... ugh...
So yesterday I get a call from this vary nutritionist "Jackie". Seems like my base doctor referred me without me knowing. When Jackie saw my name, she said "I know who this is:)'... She is going to see me this Tuesday and says she wants to put me in their new "BOD POD"... it measures body fat, lean muscle, calories expeded... it is a very cool thing... This way we can see how many calories my body needs on a regular day and adjust my eating accordingly. She has told me before that I am not eating enough... maybe this is it? I eat around 1200-1500 calories a day.. and I am on my feet all day at work (TSA at the airport).. I easily go over 10,000 steps every day. So.... Tuesday it is!!!
I am so excited about this!!! I keep trying and trying and I just cannot do it on my own... I need help!!! My goal is to lose 25 lbs by mid May when I go home fo Ohio for my Mom's memorial service....
I feel this is an unexpected blessing sent my way..... Someone is watching over me:)

Time to get serious and get in Cruise Shape. Going on a CARNIVAL Eastern Caribbean Cruise in November 2011 w hubster. Can't wait. This will be our 4th Cruise! This one is a 7 day w stops at Nassau, Grand Tu rk, St Thomas, and San Juan. Some snorkeling is definately in order. Bought a new swimsuit on clearance yesterday. Fits pretty good I must say:) But I want to lose 20 lbs by November. I've done it before, and I can do it now... I know what to do, thanks to my nutritionist and also my exercise phyiologist. Time to make it happen. Tomorrow starts the regular 6 days a week workouts, (not just walking, but actual sweatin cardio), CURVES for strength training, and journaling my food intake on a regular basis. So, I am gonna be on Spark more regularly and I need all your help to keep me goin:) You all are the BEST!!!

As many may know, I have been blogging every day recently about my workouts. I am finding it harder to do, with working a full time job w crazy shifts and getting my workouts in, so I have deleted some of my sparkteams, I just don't find some of them are motivating me any more, and that frees up some time for me:) Will try blogging maybe once a week to keep up and accountable for my workouts. Other than that, I have gotten down to one SparkTeam and still use Spark to journal my food every day.
Oh, and while I'm on here.... I did 60 mins on the Arctrainer at the gym this morning:)
