Another Busy Weekend Awaits!

Work has been so busy this week that I have not been able to keep up. The rain seems to have taken some time off I was able to get out for some long walks with my hound. But now the weekend is here and instead of having to rest, it filled to the brim with activities. Tonight I am off to friend's house for a friendly poker tornamnet. Tomorrow is house work and Lunch with with DH's mom and then Sunday drive two hours take my mom out and drive back two hours. And then it's Monday and off to work which promise to be another busy week.

I don't know how people maintain such paced lives. With everything I am doing lately, I feel like I am barely keeping my above water. I know that the activities are fun, but I just am really ready for some down time. Hopefully next weekend, the girls are taking a trip to the spa, no husbands, no kids, no dogs. Just the girls and some relaxing.

Sorry for venting, but I just needed to get it out.

I also wonder how some people can pace their lives and get every single thing in that they have to accomplish. I always think that maybe I need more planning skills. It could be because the tasks aren't too appealing and deprives you of time you need for yourself. Keep next week in your target, relaxation is going to be YOURS!

Went to see Peter, Bjorn and John last at the World Cafe in Philly. It was great!!!!

Anyone in the Philly area that enjoys live music should check out the World Cafe. It is wonderful venue.

Now I am headed out for an extra walk to help work off the extra beers I had at the show!!

  


Rewarding myself

Today after work I gave myself a reward for hitting the 10lb down mark. I got my hair cut and colored. My hair is now shorter than it has been in years, like high school. And it feels great. I love it. It is totally different. I can't wait for my friends to see it tomorrow night when we go to the concert.

Bad Weekend, Hoping for a better week...

Okay, it was a great weekend and rough one at the same time. The weather was wonderful and we got a lot done in the yard, which was great. But we hung out with friends both Friday and Saturday night and had a birthday party on Sunday. Keeping track of everything that I was eating a drinking went right out the window, to the point that I didnít even bother to weigh in this morning.

And it doesnít look like this week is going to be any better. We are heading down to a Phillies game Tuesday night (stadium food, delicious but not the most healthy thing) and then I am going to concert on Friday night (a few drinks will be involved there). So it looks like I am going to have to either kick up the exercise this week or face the music at the next weigh in. Since I hate facing the music, I guess my options are pretty limited. I will be trying to get in as much exercise as I can.

With my first swimsuit wearing event only three weeks away, I really need to kick things into high gear. emoticon I canít believe summer is coming so quickly. Before you know it will time for picnics and other summer parties. I told myself that this year I would be more prepared for the summer season, and now it is right around the corner and I am not as ready as I thought I be.

So here is to a better week! I can do it!

    You recognize how difficult it will be going to a Phillies game and a concert for reasons that are obvious. That's life -- we have times when we can't keep to a strict diet. Maybe exercise will do the trick. Don't be too hard on yourself. You know what's good for your
body.

When I step on the scale this week I had lost 2lbs. That makes 10lbs!!! ONLY 20 more to go. I helps to see the pounds comings off so that I know I can do it. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
