Made it through Memorial Day Weekend

Well, Memorial Day brought with it beautiful weather and three picnics. Yes three days and three picnics. And while I did plenty of outdoor activities, I ate plenty of bad for me food. emoticon emoticon
Who could avoid it, it was there and I could not just try it. I would have to say I pretty much grazed all three days. I tried to keep my portion small and did measure out my main meal.
But the good new is that I only gained 1 pound.

Now that the weekend is over I am working extra hard to get back to where I was and hopefully slight lower. Last night I did two bootcamp videos and I am hoping to continue that. Get in the cardio is going to be hard right now, cause with all the outdoor activities my allergies have turned on me and are make it really hard to breathe right now. emoticon
Hopefully the meds will work soon, but for now I have a sore throat and stuffed up nose.

That is were I stand and hope that everyone is doing well.


Another pound bites the dust!

Another tough week down, and another pound bites the dust. It is a great feeling to lose even though I had a couple of rough days were I did not get in workouts and ate everything that I wanted. emoticon
But even while I was eating what I wanted, I noticed that I could not eat as much. So I guess things are working here. So this weekend will be another challenge. We have an all day picnic to go to on Saturday which will have lots of good food that is bad for you. emoticon
I already have veggies cut and ready to go so that I know that there will be at least one thing that can eat and not feel guilty. But I still know that I will go over my calorie intake. Hopefully, it will be nice on Sunday so that I can get some yard work done. emoticon

    Congratulations of getting rid of that pesky pound! Every little bit counts, and the fact that you know what you need to do to keep moving forward means that you'll just keep on losing the weight!

    not to worry, a picnic may not be as bad as you think......okay, so this sounds absurd, BUT, take a 1/4 cup and a 1 cup measuring cup with you and actually use them - anything "not so good", keep to 1/4 cup (potato, macaroni salad, etc), and fruits and veggies, use the 1 cup. this will also help keep track for you to log your food (which you STILL have to do, sorry!) take bottles of water, baked or whole grain chips if you're a "chip-person". eat a hot dog without the roll (too many simple carbs to be worth it!!) SO many little things that you can do to minimize the "damage".
and be sure to do some cardio before or after the picnic - we're going to have a nice weekend, so perfect for a bike ride (i'm doing the trail if you want to join!!), a run or a brisk walk!!

Well it took me two week but I lost another pound!!!!

It was a tough weekend, but even with a few slips, I still managed to lose a pound. Even though I know that weight went on a pound at a time, I would still wish it would come off faster.

I have to been doing the Swimsuit Bootcamp everyday, and even though I have not taken any measurements (other than weight), I know my clothes seem to fit better and I really do have more energy. I don't want to sit and watch TV with DH, I just want to do something. Tv used to be one of my loves, but anymore I am completely bored with it. That just seems too weird. I have been using the Wii a got at Christmas a lot more lately. I just love the boxing. I don't know have to add that to the tracker, but I know after a few round of boxing I feel completely wiped out and am completely a sweaty mess.

Didn't Lose Any, But Didn't Gain Any Either

Well, I was not happy when I stepped on the scale this morning and saw the same number as last week, but at least the number didn't grow.

Hopefully this will be a better week!

This weekend we have a nice long hike with friends planned on Sat, but then Sun it is too the all you can eat Mom's Day buffet. We'll see how that goes.

Not much time this write this week.

Two more Pounds!!!

I am a day late weighing in, but I am down another 2lbs!!! It was a rough weekend. I had a birthday party on Saturday, so that meant tons of food just sitting there begging for someone to eat it. Which of course I helped it along. Then Sunday my husband decided we should get up early and hit the casino and do some shopping, both things I enjoy, but that leads to a long day and eating very badly. Seems like I am back on track with the eating, but not so much with the smoking. After a couple of weeks of only smoking 6 cigs a day, this week I am back to an average of 10. I think it is being so busy, every time I get a break I just want a smoke. But slowly but surely I will get the smoking thing kicked.

On another note, I have decided to set a short term goal of losing 10 more lbs by June 23rd. That week we are going on a cruise to Canada. While I have never been on cruise before, I am preparing myself for over-eating that week. I am hoping that all the things we can do will keep me gaining too much.

    way to go!! you're on a roll! pretty soon you'll have enough resolve to finally quit smoking too! i also had a rough weekend, food-wise - my boyfriend thought nothing of us going out with friends to eat friday AND saturday night - right after we started the 10-day challenge!! fortunately, i'm still down, but not sure how much. have an awesome time on the cruise - i was just on one a few weeks ago to the southern caribbean - don't stress over what to eat, just be sensible - i was able to keep my gain to 1.8 lbs - try to make it to the on-board gym a couple of times - what cruise line will you be on?
