To My Husband~~~Happy Birthday!!!!

Monday, September 13, 2010

Dear Husband of my Dreams~~~~
We talked just last night of our hopes & dreams for our preschooler. We talked of how we are raising him to be a very helpful,God-fearing,sensitive yet strong boy who we hope & pray will come to know Jesus as His Personal Saviour one day. We talked of parenting skills and I told you of how PROUD I am of YOU and HOW MUCH PATIENCE you exude with our little boy!! I told you of how HAPPY YOU have made both our son & me with our family!!!! I told you of my hopes and dreams of being your wife and mother to our son have come true and are coming true, moment -by-moment, day -by- day. How PROUD I AM OF YOU on this day,not just because it is your birthday{ and you turn the BIG 5-0 ,too!} but also in His Wisdom,God gave you an extra special promotion at work today,LONGGGGGGGGGGGG-----EARNED!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!! So, Happy Birthday,MY LOVE, I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART!!!!! Your wife,Betsy emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Being on The "Maintenance Road" is great because...

Saturday, September 11, 2010

-I no longer feel the need to weigh myself EVERY DAY!
-I LOVE the feel of my clothes--that they are are NOT tight, but a loose ,easy feel!
-I love that my stomach muscles are getting stronger and MORE DEFINED every day{as they were not as strong when I was on my weight loss journey]!!!!
-I LOVE that I AM IN CONTROL of my food choices and if I overindulge one day, I'm MAKING SURE to EXERCISE the NEXT DAY!!!
-I love the knowledge of EATING ON PURPOSE and keeping my FOLATE intake high or at least TRYING TO!!!!
-I LOVE the rewarding little comments my husband gives me especially in public {and when I am wearing my swimsuit]!!!!
-I LOVE the constant MOTION I am in most of the time ,not only due to my preschooler, but to my NEVERENDING ENERGY !!!!!!!!!!!!
-I like the LEANNESS LOOK of my body now!!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Enjoying the Moments of Life.....

Friday, September 10, 2010

This "weekend " {my hubby has days off DURING the week ,so it's a weekend to us in the middle of the week}. has just been GREAT!!! I have been enjoying the time spent with hubby and preschooler going places like Sea World and staying home making dinner. It's just so AWESOME to witness God's blessings in my life! I watched with delight as my husband playfully held our son and interacted with him ,kissing him in the end and just wanted to capture THAT MOMENT on film, though it's in my mind FOREVER!!! Seeing our son just have smiles of JOY as he got to see SHAMU for the first time and his delight with all things"ocean life"!!!! Staying at home and watching old movies together, just holding hands.... These are the MOMENTS that live in the MEMORY FOREVER!!! Sometimes,I think God lets us SEE a little of HEaven on Earth!!!!!!Have a fantastic day!!!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

How does one keep up all the Sparkfriends?

Tuesday, September 07, 2010

I must admit to not being able to keep up with contacting each of my SP friends at least ONCE a month. Do YOU limit your friends? emoticonhelp, emoticon

Just do what you can, Betsy. We're all here for you, and we don't expect anything in return. (Well, I don't, anyway.) Like others suggested, the friend feeds and blogs are great ways to show support to SP friends.

You're not alone! I don't mind adding new friends and I love to meet new sparkers, but I do have a hard time keeping up with everyone. I try to check the feeds and blogs as much as I can, but it's hard to keep up. I think a lot of people keep up with others, but it takes a lot of time to send each and everyone an individual comment. Even though I don't get a whole lot of comments and can't send them out as much as I'd like, I know everyone here is totally supportive of me and are here when I need them and I hope they feel the same about me. Spark is an amazing site! I've met some really great people here! Best wishes !! :)

I try to keep tabs with my SP friends that are always supporting me. An easy was is to scroll thru your friend feed and click on the like or comment on stuff. Fast way to let them know you are thinking of them.

On some of my friends, I am subscribed to their blogs and get an email when they post one.

Your true emoticon will know that you can have busy days and you are not ignoring them!!!

I try to check the friend feed too and watch the blogs on my teams. Every once in a while I pull up all my friends and try to check in with the ones I have been missing.

It's really like regular friends sometimes We don't talk for a couple months, but if we need each other we are always there!

Your a great friend!

I can't keep up either...I do the best I can, I check my friend feed at least once a day and try to go back as far as I can, and check in here and there. There are particular ones that I have bonded with and I keep up with them a bit more than others, nothing personal to the ones I can't keep up with, I just do the best I can! emoticon

There's no way to personally follow every single spark friend, but there is a core group that I find myself seeking out. The important thing is getting the real life activity done... and when we spent just a little time acknowledging one another in support, that is great.

But as with many things in life, the social aspects of Spark can overwhelm a person... it's OK to not answer every friend's every post! I think most folks understand we all have lives beyond the screen.

Good luck, and be kind to yourself... like Momma_Little said, don't sweat it!

I don't think you can ever have too many friends. I mean....hugs, smiles and friends is what life is all about. I kind of check the blogs that are posted and respond. I guess you just do what you can do. emoticon

Well, I'm learning to just do what I can! Wow, it's tough, because I love so many SparkFriends and they always seem to be there for me! I like to be there for them, too! Guess we can't do it all though, can we? I'm finding out more and more that we're all pretty much in the same boat and there isn't a little SP robot going around bopping us on the head if we don't read and comment on every blog! You are doing GREAT, and don't sweat it for a minute! Just don't you dare delete me! emoticon

gosh what we do is bring books, crayon book and crayons. puzzles, fav trucks and cars basically made up a activity bag for each child and you could pack some DVD's lots of rooms have players in them. I would think you would want to go somewhere family friendly.. Enjoy your trip wherever you go...

Depends on where you live. Pick a large city within 2-3 hour drive. Get a nice room with a mini-kitchen, hopefully in a location with a beach or park within walking distance. Pick a special outing for each day.

We spent a marvelous few days in Santa Barbara when we had a 2 year old and a newborn. We went off-season and got a gorgeous room with a balcony overlooking the beach. Ate out one meal a day and fixed simple meals and snacks to take with us. We also went to La Jolla with 3 - ages 5,3 and newborn. Again, off-season we got a lovely suite with a balcony overlooking the Cove. So much fun and such lovely memories.

Have fun!

I would want to go to a place where there are lots of HANDS ON stuff to do! When I took Clayton up to see his Uncle Garret and Auntie Heddy in Chicago, we went to Naperville (I think it was there) and went to a Children's Museum that took my breath away! *I* wanted to keep playing, let alone CLAYTON! emoticon
