Yesterday was lbs. loss, today it's INCHES!!!!

Sunday, March 07, 2010

Though I enjoy seeing the poundage disappear, it's like icing on the cake to see the changes in inches lost!!!
waist --1" **My 2nd favorite loss!
thigh-1 1/2"
upper arm-1/2"
body fat-1%
belly-2" **** My favorite loss!
Just under my chest- { this was the most notable to see b/c of the Garmin heart monitor; it was loose!-you wear it just under your chest when working out!} Plus I can see muscle definition instead of holding my breath and stomach in.---It's Happening!!!! :) ::) :) emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Next ---little baby steps to weight loss...

Saturday, March 06, 2010

Well, tracking and keeping the fat intake down has helped me lose an additional .6 of a ponud for total loss at 10.6 lbs.!!!! What's great is I'm now getting below my WEDDING weight!!!!! I am learning little insights,too---- no finishing up my toddler's food because" mom wants no waste" ALWAYS goes to MY waist!!! And I have to stop using food as a reward to my toddler and do more active things....So, little baby steps of learning will lead to baby steps of pounds slowly going off. As long as they ARE going off........ emoticon

Its great that your seeing the rewards with food cycle that we all fall into. Its wonderful that your going to break that cycle with your little one. I know my grandkids loved being read to more than anything. Or going to the neighborhood playground.
I'm sorry your little one is under the weather nothing breaks your heart more than when they don't feel well. I hope the weekend perks up for you and your family.

For the next TEN pound loss...HELP!!!

Friday, March 05, 2010

It was not as hard as I thought it would be for me to lose 5 pounds and I was ECSTATIC!!!!! A ll I did was add the workouts, which I had to sneak in during my toddler napping, and with the full support of my husband. As I now focus on the next 10 ,first, maybe I should alter my focus and only look at the next 5, I'm looking at tracking down in my calorie range more{only hit it 8x/last month when I lost the 10.....and maybe increase my water intake up to 6----no, I can't hit 8 every day...kidney problems results...I am definitely looking for ideas from sparkers to please HELP!!!! :) emoticon

I'm totally addicted to this site. I keep the page open all day and when I get home from work I open it up at home.. I track everything. I don't see it as being accountable to someone I see it as a tool for me to see how I eat and what I can eat tons of for the fewest amount of calories. I love low cal mornings and lunches so I can enjoy what everyone else is eating at dinner..

Thats too bad about not being able to increase your water intake. Have you tried cranberry tablets?? I've heard they help.
I know the big differance in my weight has to do with how much water a day I get. You might just need less than the average. I'm sure there are some who need more. Its an individual thing.

I try to do the clean eating program so I feel it opens up many more foods that are much lower in calories. There is a team for clean eating. You can find it on my spark page if your interested.

I think tracking is key to staying on track. I even measure most things. In the beginning I was so surprised how little 1 cup of cereal was!
Congrats on losing!!!!

Tracking cals is very helpful. Not so much, for me anyway, because of the actual cals, but because it made me much more aware of what I was putting in my mouth. I now use it to help me "tweak" cal intake, but not initially. If it stresses you out thinking of doing it everyday, shoot for 3 days a week, perhaps Monday, Wednesday, Friday, or whatever works for you.

And keep up the work outs. :)

Way to go with the first 10. Keep your focus and enjoy the ride.

Overcast windy day & what to do w/ a toddler who wants to play?

Thursday, March 04, 2010

Well, the park is out, though he needs the climbing BADLY!! My toddler just has the energy to burn and I wish I could siphon it from him {for a nap} to me {so I DON"T nap!}. Playing in the garage with the t-ball and drawing chalk pictures {with labelling } on the concrete seemed to help ,but then ,he's a toddler and doesn't want to stop even when it's time for dinner---just skipped nap today;too many errands that HAD to be done today!!! Now guess who's asleep right now and won't be going to bed until late.... Just one of those 'oh, well" days that I wouldn't trade for anything!!!! Tired ,but happy, I'm logging off.... emoticon

Baking some sparkrecipes!!

Wednesday, March 03, 2010

Ok, going to make skillet white beans, spinach, and tomatoes over linguini since I need to make dinner and want a healthful choice! Had good luck with other sparkrecipes --turkey and black bean sloppy joes and also 20 minute Parmesan Chicken. Hope it tastes good.... emoticon emoticon
BTW, still feel great ---had hot soak--- no sore leg muscles!!
Just finished trying it---oh so yummy and prep time was about 20 min. for me! Is very good as a side dish or main dish;I used arrowroot as a thickening agent to cut down soupiness. My toddler loved the noodles{ I substituted gemelli noodles and spaghetti}!!! emoticon

Okay, I just have to ask... Do you think it would turn out okay without the tomatoes? (I'm allergic to tomatoes.) Everything else sounded great!
