Exhausted

I have absolutely zero energy today. I am sitting here trying to get up the umph to do my strength training. I have been off at the bank, grocery shopping, paying bills, etc. since 9:30 am. I finally ate lunch at 3:40pm when I got home. I just feel drained. Usually I look forward to exercise. I only have about 1/2 hour before I gotta start 'running' again! I have to pick up my hubby at work. Well, I'm off the do what I can in that time.
Hopefully, I can pull it off!

    I'm getting to this a little late...haven't been on much this weekend other than to input my food...but I hope you were able to get motivated to exercise. I had a few bad days like this last week. It's hard to get back into the focus...I gained 2 lbs and that's what did it for me. I realized that if I didn't buckle down, I'd gain even more than that...it was enough to "wake me up" so to speak. It's hard when you don't have personal time to yourself so you don't want to exercise with the small bit of time that you do have. It's much easier to relax. You are entitled to relax too. I typically do my strength training around 10-11 pm instead of during the day because of all the running I do during the day too. The kids are already in bed or at least in their rooms if it's the weekend and it's when I have my free time. Good luck finding the time!

Financial woe....

This weekend cost me 'a pound'. Well, actually, I am feeling a little down today. Not sure if my 'weight gain' has anything to do with it. I have a lot going on in my head that I just can't seem to put away. Honestly....I don't think my little set back is the true issue. I stayed on track this weekend, so it doesn't make any sense that my weight went up and I am sure it will correct itself.
The real problem is financial. Everyone's #1 problem! My husband's company decided to sell ALL their trucks(tractors) and put an end to that part of the company. They did, however, hire him to drive a boomtruck with hourly pay. Which is good, at least he still has a job! His hourly pay is gonna be about $7/hr less that what we currently need to pay our bills. I cannot work due to my disability so unlike in the past where I could help out...I am stuck.
I am very thankful that he remains employed but I am so very worried. This year has been very tight and we don't have anything to fall back on. On a good note, my husband is very happy to have set hours again. No more up at midnight, 1, 2, 3, 4 , 5 or 6am to start work! No more,' come home to eat, and shower', then back out again! Plus, he will be home every night. I just need to be extremely thrifty, especially with food (our greatest expense!) So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi there,
Things always work out,I bet you have heard that one many times. Your right about finances and it being the number 1 problem in the world. Things have a way of working out (they really do) Have you tried opening a store on eBay? You can be at home and work from your computer? Stick to improving your health,I've always felt that if I have my weight and daily food intake under control everything else seems to fall into place.

    I'm sorry for the bad news at your husband's work place. But like you said, at least he still has a job. If it was spring, I'd suggest to plant a garden, since you'd be able to have free veggies...they always cost me a small fortune...but unfortunately it isn't spring. I know when I had had my 2nd baby and we made the decision that I was going to quit my job and stay home, it was a very difficult transition for us. My husband was barely making 20k a year and I had a full-time job with benefits that I was giving up. Luckily we were able to get the kids enrolled in low-income health care through our state but it didn't help our money situation. I would go grocery shopping once a month (twice if I was lucky) and we very rarely went out to dinner. I also was lucky that my 2nd baby was another girl so I didn't have to buy new clothes for the opposite sex. I used to clip coupons and watch the ads for the foods we typically bought...actually hoping that a food on sale also had a coupon so I'd get it even cheaper. It was difficult...but we survived. Good luck figuring it all out. Though it may be difficult, I believe that you will survive it too!

  I will pray for your situation. I know how hard it is when you don't have enough to pay your bills. Some thrifty ideas...clip coupons, some stores double to 50 cents and stores like Publix run Buy 1, Get 1 Free sales where you only have to Buy 1 and get it half off, then use a coupon and get a good deal.

Restarted Water aerobics Today- oh yes, I'm SORE!

I took the summer off and boy, I am actually quite shocked at how much it wore me out!! I have been walking, strength training, the works.....but WOW am I sore.
I go twice a week. I took the summer off because I didn't have anyone to watch my kids. Next summer I don't think I'll make the same mistake! LOL
I forgot I had some of the muscles that are sore, lol.

    Water aerobics is an insanely good exercise! I have heard that its the best one for all over fitness, and you get the bonus of it being easy on the joints! Gotta love that!
Next summer, check into some sort of water class for the kids at the place your do your aerobics! You might be surprised to find something for them at the same time as your class.... its a thought!

    Good job getting back into the swing of things. I've never tried water aerobics but I hear that's it's very good for your muscles. It uses just about all of them. Keep up the good work!

Short on energy

I am having a bit of a sluggish day. Resisted the urge to do my strength training early because it tires me out so much so I visited my girlfriend for most of the afternoon. WooHoo!
I was home in time for my boys' 'triumphant return from their first FULL day of school'. Then the race was on with homework, dinner, and soccer practice.
Phew! I survived and even put in a 1.5 mile brisk walk while practice was going on! Then back home with bathing, dishes, laundry and FINALLY...
STRENGTH TRAINING.
I really had to push myself to accomplish it all today.
1st day with 199 more just like it (slight differences), yippee!! I am sure I will adjust and strength training is really every OTHER day. LOL
Shhh...listen hard and you may hear the quiet crumbling of my sanity.....

    I just started my "strength training" yesterday, and oh boy am I sore!
But I printed off all the stretching exercises, and it helped eliviate alot
of the soreness. I am putting off my exercises today, procrastinating,
really, but I am determined to get it done. My reward for doing them is
the laps in the pool, and then piddle paddling about enjoying the experience of the sun, wind, sky, and water. I dont see exercising in the pool as exercise, its more something I look forward to each day. I dont push too hard, and only do what I can.

I cant imagine your life! 3 kids, a hubby, and disabled all at the same time? I thought my life was rough! LOL

Hang in there, moms. Im here for ya too!

    I had a similar day to yours yesterday with the exceptions that I work PT and that I have girls..lol..and my youngest had soccer practice directly after school so she didn't come home until 5:30. Good job getting your strength training and walk in. My whole schedule was out of whack. Both of my kids came home needing more notebooks, binders, you name it so we needed to make a trip to Target. Here's to a more relaxing day today!!
