Well, I'm starting bootcamp! SP has done wonders for me this last year, but my motivation to move and exercise has been somewhat lacking. Guess I figured that keeping up with all our preschoolers was exercise enough. I lost about 25 pounds, but would still like to shed 5 more. I re-started Curves and am serious about bootcamp. My eating habits fell down a bit over the vacation. I mean, when your grandchildren make you cookies, you have to eat some, right? I did give half away to the other grandchildren, so I didn't pig out TOO badly!
Day one of bootcamp is done, and I'm looking forward to the rest of it!

Life has a way of beating you down. I love my summers, because I get a chance to spend them in the peace & quiet of our church camp. This year, I've been away more than there. An emergency with our son & family in Maine has me very depressed. I can't get on SP at camp (no internet), so have to track foods manually, which I don't do consistently. I'm walking more, anyway! And on the bright side, though I haven't lost weight in the past 2 weeks, I've only gained 1/10 of a pound! I guess, considering the stress I've been under, that's a minor miracle! Paul says I'm having an ice cream day...... I scream, then meltdown!

I'm ALMOST to a goal of 145! Hopefully, by tomorrow's weigh-in I'll make it.
I've been SO close, but refuse to buy new jeans or capris until I reach 145.0 or below. I get close, then go up a pound or so. Maybe this time, I hope, I hope! I KNOW I'll make it sometime.

Well, it went better than I had hoped. I actually held it together & managed to read my poem without bawling. It helped that my oldest granddaughter, Kaitlin, read a poem she had written, also. She's only 9, but has wisdom beyond her years.
We first went to the cemetery (in the pouring rain) and had a service. My sister had bought roses for each member of the family to place in the grave around the urn. Mom's great-grandchildren, grandchildren, children & spouses placed a rose there. As we were doing that, a bird broke into song! I said, "Mom's singing to us!"
We then went to the church & gathered in the parlor until time for the service. It was very nicely done! Rev. Henry did a fine job. Afterwards we got to catch up with friends & relatives from near & far. It just seems so final, but also was very comforting. Good grief, I'm going to miss her!
