bathing suit shopping

Ughhh! I went shopping in search of a bathing suit since last years was too big 7 stores and NO LUCK! All either too big or too small or the 3 or 4 that fit showed too much of my breasts! Talk about a motivation killer! I have been so proud until this point with 62 pounds lost! But now I feel like it's all been for nothing.....uuggghh

    62 pounds gone!! emoticon I wouldn't let anything take that feeling away...you worked hard for this! If you can't find what you want 'in' the stores, check out the internet, even the stores you visited...not everything available through a store in brought into the store. And if you don't find anything there, think out-the-box...think dancer's/exercise uni-tard which usually come in a variety of necklines and with the right amount of elasticity you'll be good to go in the water! I wish you the best. emoticon

Ok so I didnt think to take before pics...honestly I didnt think I would ever lose this much, or be this close to my goal. But here are pics my trainer suggested we start doing after each weigh and measure day monthly. I really wish she would have suggested it at the beginning.

Finally reached 50 lb mark!

After almost 4 months I have finally reached the 50 lb lost mark and am so happy! It has definitely been a struggle and most days I dont even feel like getting out of the bed to work out. But all this hard work and determination is starting to pay off! I hope to lose 50 more before the end of the year. A friend and I are considering doing a 5k in September. I am by no means whatsoever a runner, but maybe I can do interval jogging? Who knows.
Its time to change my routine up a bit though my body is getting used to the same routine. Wake up train Tues/Thurs, classes Mon Wed, then freestyle Friday and my diet could use some new tweaking, any ideas?
I am at the library now tried uploading pics here but they have some crazy restrictions on their computers, one day I want to post before and after pics because I am sooo Excited! Hope everyone is doing well, and remember NEVER EVER GIVE UP!

I use this site from my phone. And for some reason I cannot get any pictures to load. My home computer has issues as well, I hope to 1 day soon get some pics loaded. I have hit a plateau. And I'm not enjoying it all. I really dont have time to blog. With working all weekend of the hospital taking care of the kids all week and going to the gym 5 days a week, my schedule is kinda hectic...lol! Just wanted. to let everyone know why I have no pics on my profile. Because I love to look at other peoples pictures. It gives me motivation and inspiration, hopefully 1 day soon I can do that for others as well!

Hi all! My name is Michelle and back in December I decided to join a gym with some personal training visits, and my awesome trainer informed me of sparkpeople, and I LOVE IT! My weight had crept up to 296 pounds I was having signs of sleep apnea, and our mountain trip for Thanksgiving was torture because I got so out of breath on our hiking trails. Not to mention that I could only fit in sweat pants and a pair of maternity jeans, even my scrubs were getting too tight. So it was then I decided I MUST lose some weight not only for myself, but my 2 daughters as well.
So its been a little over 3 months now I'm down 48 pounds and 15 inches! My 15 year old has also lost 39 pounds and my 8 year old makes healthier eating choices. WE door a lot more things outdoors, eliminated sodas, and gave up fast food . I pray that I have spared them the torture of being the "fat kids" in school. And that they will learn that exercising isnt torture, rather a great way to feel great!
I still have A LONG way to go but this site and my trainer have kept me motivated and I know as long as I keep the determination up, I WILL reach my goals. I used to see all the infomercials and think yeah right people cant really lose 100 pounds doing anything! But now I know there are truly no quick fixes, but with hard work, a great support system and proper education you can acheieve your goals. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this and good luck in your weight loss journey!

    Awesome news that you are teaching/guiding your daughters to making better choices and helping them see that it is definitely a lifestyle change and something that you can all do together! Keep up the great work and what a fantastic support system the 3 of you have :)
