too long

Wow it has been over a year since I logged on. I have been on a roller coaster of hell. I need surgery on my ankle and most likely my shoulder. My husband has had 2 back surgeries in the last 4 months and we are looking at 2 more in the next six months. Anna had her adenoids out in august and she is breathing better than ever. Jillian has turned into a drama queen and Charlie is now toddzilla. We have had 2 viruses run through the house in the last 2 weeks. I need to get back on track. I have gained all the weight back plus 4 pounds.
I am an emotional eater.
I am an emotional eater.
There I said it.
I have no trouble at work with this just at home and I thinks it's because the kids, my husband, my mother in law are driving me nuts. I am the only one currently working so time is money right now.

Thanks for stopping by :)

Welcome back!! It sounds like you've had a hard time lately. If there is any kind of support I can give you more than telling you that you are worth it, please let me know. Things will start to look up and the house will slow down I'm sure, but always remember that you can do it. The biggest gift you can give yourself and your family is to get back on track and do all the things you need to begin your journey again. No more excuses!! Just Do It!!

So I have come to realize that my daughter is not having the best of weeks. On sunday we woke up to her crying and of course we ran to her room to see what was wrong and she had completely turned herself sideways and got her legs caught in the bed rails and her right knee was the size of a grapefruit. So I panic and take her to the ER praying she didn't break anything and thank god it was just a really big contusion.
Well monday comes along and I think Anna was at school for 2 hrs and we get a call from her nurse saying Anna is coughing up blood so guess where we went.....that's right ER AGAIN. After sitting there for 3 hrs come to find out the x-ray machine was down they took her to another part of the hospital to have them done. They showed the beginning stage of pneumonia so the ER dr's get an IV going and pump her full of steroids and antibiotics and she is a 10 day stint of antibiotics at home. I was thanking god they didn't admit her. Last night the antibiotics are finally making there way down and she ass-ploded and was crying because she was embarrassed. After calming her down and getting her cleaned up she passed out and had no fever for 24 hours so we made the decision she could go to school today. Well my husband gets a call from the nurses desk and them freaking out her g-tube fell out. I was like what it just fell out???? Never had that happen so he runs to the school and gets the new one in before the hole closes and she 'll have to have surgery to put a new one in.
So what I am wondering is should we continue on with our plans this coming weekend or should we be hermits??

I am sorry she is having such a hard week. She sounds like a real trooper! I hope that she starts feeling better soon. I would wait another day or so before cancelling your plans. Have a blessed day

Jillian vs Scissors

Wednesday, June 18, 2008

So my 3 yr old decided she would give her doll a haircut first then she moved onto herself. I get a call from my husband because I was at work when all this happened. I asked how bad and he started to cry. So needless to say my daughter looks like a little boy now. My 18 month old had no idea who she was and hid from her for over an hour after she got back from the barber where they tried to even up the mess. I will try to add a pic so you can see what she looks like now. Hump day is over...woo hoo

Dealing with Stressful situations

Thursday, June 05, 2008

So if you haven't figured it out my daughter is disabled and it was due to negligence at birth. Anyway we are going through mediation to try and settle out of court. Needless to say these people are so ridiculous thinking $250,000 is enough money to give someone for the rest of that childs life. Occupational therapy alone is $76,000 a year that is 1 visit a week. She needs 2-3. I am so overwhelmed with the stress of this I am eating with emotion not with hunger and it sucks. I feel like I have lost control and I am at a loss for words.

I'm sorry...I wish I could fix this for you. These stories just break my heart because you and your family deserve the care that is needed. From your pictures, Annalisa brings a big smile to your face and that is a wonderful thing to see. She must adore you as you adore her. Focus on the love you have been given because you can't do much more than that at times. Sending you a cyber hug now!!! I know its not much but I hope its something positive.

My angel is turning 8

Saturday, May 31, 2008

I am in tears just thinking about my Annalisa making it another year. We were told Annalisa wouldn't be able to do anything and be in a vegetative state for the rest of her life after she was born. She proved them wrong in so many ways. She is trying to walk and recently took her first 2 steps. That was one of the most amazing things I have experienced in my life. I didn't know whether to cry or laugh so I did both.
We are having a Hannah Montana Pajama party for her birthday. We are having a few friends over for pizza and smores (yum) and watch some HM on TV and do mani's and pedi's for the girls. I think it will be a lot fun.
I haven't been on the scale since I had pneumonia and to be honest I am scared to. I have been eating so much more healthy and drinking at least 8 cups of water. I think with my weird schedule I and not enough sleep isn't helping.
I became the charge person at my job and shift will be changing in a week so I am hoping that I will be able to have a better handle on exercise and more sleep.
I hope you have a good weekend and I can't believe June is already here.

I added some pics to my page if you want to check them out.
I'm getting ready for bed and hoping I get some sleep tonight.
