Wii......

Sunday, February 06, 2011

Ok so last weekend my hubby purchased a Wii game console, I have been using the spots games and could not believed the extra exercise I have been getting. My favorites are tennis and boxing (which I never liked in my life , tried it and loved it). Now I look forward to getting the Wii Fit to use as well. I have actually been looking forward to playing emoticon and can go for 1-2 hours emoticon

Stairs, stairs and more stairs

Sunday, September 26, 2010

I live in a home with 4 flights of stairs that 20 steps in total. Today since I have been up and cleaning doing laundry ... I think I have done the trip from top to bottom at least 20 or more times. There are some days it seems like a long way to the top...I think I should maybe add this to my streaks lets see how many I actually do in a day emoticon

Good Idea about adding the stairs into your streaks. I too have a lot of stairs to climb especially when doing laundry.

Stop Smoking Aids

Saturday, September 25, 2010

Hi All

I looking for anyone out there that has experience with stop smoking aids I need to get rid of my not so friend nic once and for all. I am embarrassed to say that this is not my first attempt to say good-by. Failed efforts in the past makes nic have a hold on me like no other. So my doctor has suggested Zyban which I am supposed to start next week.

Well I have been doing research on the web and I am very worried about some of the side effects. Has anyone used Zyban and would you recommend it. I am not one to take pills at the best of times even when I am sick I do the good old fashioned natural methods to get better.

Any advise to say good bye to nic for good would be appreciate.

I have never tried zyban but I have friends that have used that. I have heard Champix/Wellbutrin works somewhat better but everyone is different and and different things work for different people. I hope you have lots of luck with the zyban. I used the patch and it seemed to have worked for me this time. Also a great resource I have found was Quitnet.com. It has a lot of great info about quitting and also a great support system. I hope this helps:) Good luck.

Frustrated

Wednesday, September 22, 2010

So it has been 5 days with no chips or pop, I have been drinking tons of water and really watching what I am eating. Also been walking at least double what I usually do. Now I don't expect miracles but I weighed myself this morning did I loose even 1/2 a lb oh no up 4.
Times like this you feel like throwing the scale out the window emoticon

Keep your chin up! I can be obsessed with weighing myself, but I know that the number can be totally frustrating. Many years ago (and yes, I can have a bit of a temper), I threw my scale against the brick wall in the basement. I didn't have to worry about weighing myself again for quite awhile - lol!

As a side note, I weighed myself before my shower last night, then again after. I weighed one pound more after - with no clothes on. Go figure! I didn't have that many drops of water on me.

Giving myself a pat on the back

Monday, September 20, 2010

This has been a very long and hard year and there were days that financially I didn't think I was going to make it. But tomorrow I am going to make the last payment on my loan. What a relief it felt like this day would never come. Don't get me wrong I still have a lot of work to do on my finances, at least now I feel like I may be getting somewhere emoticon
