5 Secrets to My Success

1. Make a goal, something to strive toward, mine was an upcoming event

2. Determine to give it your best each and everyday

3. Using the trackers helped know how well I was adapting the healthy habits into my lifestyle.

4. Drinking your water helps you feel fuller between snacks and meals.

5. You are going to get off track! Don't fall into the trap of tomorrow or Monday I will get back on track. Do it know. Messing up will not derail you permently unless you give up and allow it to.

I posted this on a message board and decided to share it with my friends.

I had a wonderful time with my family on Friday night and Saturday and I will post pics later.

Spring Forward Into Preparedness

A friend sent me this timely reminder she got from a sheriff department.

The second Sunday of March each year begins daylight savings time. We mark our calendars to remember to change the time, but this reminder can also be used for some basic annual maintenance to our emergency preparedness. This is a good time to do the following items:

1) Change the batteries in smoke alarms and CO detectors.
2) Check household fire extinguishers and have them serviced if needed.
3) Verify all the phone numbers on the household emergency contact list are accurate.
4) Perform a home evacuation drill with all the members of the household.

These four quick steps will help spring your preparedness forward. They donít take much time and they add to your piece of mind. For more information on preparedness go to:

I was thinking how we can all spring forward and prepare success on our journey.

1. Plan your meals, and cook ahead or crockpot
2. Plan your exercise, so it is not left out
3. Drink your water. Fill up all the bottles you need for the day and when they are empty you have all your water in.
4. Get plenty of sleep. This is the toughest one for me.

Get excited about life, work, and people. Find excitement in what others find mundane. Remember that life is dull and boring to dull and boring people. Life is exciting and exhilarating to excited people. There will be times that you have to pretend it is more exciting then it seems, but thatís what it takeís to maintain that mentality. Everything does get old if you let it. Learn to breath new life into what is important to you. Keep what is so special, special.

2. DONíT MAKE EXCUSES.
Many people rant and rave how bad life is. They wait for enjoyment, happiness and success, and never find it. Get in the habit of getting things done. Make it a point to take responsibility for your life. You can be a victim of circumstance or a master of circumstance. This is a choice -your choice.

3. ALWAYS BE UP.
To always be up is to take life as it comes and make the very best of it. Be up about life, people and challenges. To be up, is to see the upside of all that is around you.

4. MAKE A TOTAL COMMITMENT.
Make a commitment to your life and to becoming all that you can become. Commit to your responsibilities. You will be known as the person to count on.
A total commitment gives you the courage and energy to see things through.

    Very true. Great blog! Life is all in the attitude. Just any job can be made fun. It is all in how you see it. I love turns things like that around. Before you know it, you actually are enjoying that job that you thought you despised doing!
