I would not be where I am today without the support and encouragement of Spark and all the friends I have made here.
To all of you who were worried about the plate of goodies. I had one very small piece of fudge yesterday and a small shortbread kiss cookie today. I am doing just fine.
A year ago I ended up staying up the entire night of Christmas eve caring for dear father-in-law who we didn't think would see the new year. Then he slept for the next two days. I slept into the afternoon.
This year he knew what day it was and watched Christmas movies with us. I walked almost four miles in 20 degree weather with my dear daughter. I would have never have done that before!
The Christmas Gift of Knowing You
The Christmas season fills our hearts with joy;
Bright, happy days bring special kinds of pleasure.
We're wrapped in the excitement of it all,
The sights, the sounds, the smells, the tastes we treasure.
Yet when we have some quiet time to think
About our finest blessings all year through,
We focus on our family and our friends,
And appreciate the gift of knowing you!
