Many people tell about the days before the race and how they train.
The day of the race is filled with excitement.
What about the day after.
Yesterday was a full day.
I got up at 4:00am to take my daughter to the band competition.
I went to run in a 5k at 8:00am.
Then I came home to sleep.
Our band made it to the finales so off to McAllen at 7:00pm to see the band at Area. 10 wonderful bands competted for 7 spots to State. These kids are a wonder. Not only have they been marching since July in temps around 100 but they play wonderful music.
5 hours sitting in the satium and home we are going to State in San Antonio.
So today I woke up at 9:00am sore and stiff. But I convinced my husband to go for a walk. We went to the Park. It was a beautiful day. I have not been to this park in Edinburg for quite sometime. The trail in about 1.5 miles around. The World Birding Center has a trail also so were saw some butterflies, duck and birds.
Shopping and veg burger for lunch then a nap. My legs are not so stiff now and I feel great.
Goals for the week. I am not going to waste all that energy walking and running on unhealthy eating. I need to remember on Thurs. when I am tired not to eat chocolate and sweets it will not make me feel better. This week on Thurs. I will not sleep in but get up and walk to keep on track.
