Enjoying a rainy day

Tuesday, December 28, 2010

I know in some parts of the country there is too much rain but here we have had no rain for many months. Today it rained. My husband made me a rain barrel for my birthday in Aug and I have been waiting for the rain to fill it up. Today finally I have some rain water.

Enjoying the rainy day. Walked on the treadmill, rode the stationary bike, did a little very little house work.
Now I am enjoying the movie Eclipse with my daughter.

We're actually expecting some rain (and maybe thunderstorms) at the end of the week. I live in Illinois and it's winter here...so that's pretty weird for us. Especially since we just had a major snowstorm with 7-8 inches of snow!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Dinner with Spark Friends

Monday, December 27, 2010

I have been trying to get together with my Sparks friends Irene and Marcy for some time. Marcy and I both work so we just do not have time. But we are still on vacation so I called Marcy and asked her to go for lunch. I called Irene another Spark/TOPS friend and we went to her apartment. What a wonderful time sharing and getting to know each other better.

Around 5:30pm my stomach started to growl and then Marcy's so I asked Irene to join us for supper. We had such a good time.

Here is our picture of 3 wonderful friends.

Irene, me and Marcy.
I know without these two friends I would not be on Sparks.

    What a wonderful time.
Irene should have been a truck drive.
Then I forgot to tell about the wonderful Christmas lights.

Pencil skirt for me????

Sunday, December 26, 2010

There are always little things to get the day after Christmas.
Got up at 8am and went to Walmart to get a cover for IPODS ect.
Then I went to Torrid to get a pencil shirt size 14.
This is something I never thought I could wear.

My legs are too big for tight skirts, dresses or leggings.
Pencil skirts are made for ladies with skinny little legs.
You know the pencil legs :)

But at Torrid the clothes are made for plus women and stylish tooo. I have not been there since Aug. I just spend tooo much money. But today the clearance were on sale 50% off so the skirt was finally affordable.

I have a new skirt and even my daughter said I looked great.

Got my walking in and feel great.
Not eating anything with sugar in it.
Trying to detox the body again.
Writing in my journal and I know it is going to be a great Monday.

I love Torrid, and I love it when skinny women ask me where I got a stylish outfit, only to tell them it's from a plus size store that just doesn't carry your size!! ha ha :))

Christmas

Saturday, December 25, 2010

Tuesday I went to Austin to do some shopping and see my husband's older brother. I always have lots of fun but Ana my sister=in-law just cooks too much, I got out twice to walk. Came home on Friday and went to my husband's sister's house for Christmas Eve. Too many cookies but I had a good time just talking and sharing with everyone. Home around Midnight. I am glad I have older kids so I could sleep until 9:00am before we opened gifts. My youngest daughter wanted a new IPOD touch and she regifted me her old ipod. It has more memory so I can load more tunes for my running. Yea! I have a shuffle for audio books and an Ipod for music. We played board games the kids got for Christmas and now are watching the movies. Christmas is fun just to sit around.
Sunday I am going to Torrid to get a new skirt. 50% off everything.
Sunday I am going to exercise.
Sunday I am going to write in my journal.
Back on track.
