Days 354, 355, 356 & Date Night with Hubby!

Yes, my streak is still going. I'm just working a lot, so I'm not always able to get on Spark People.

Saturday (354)- We had two basketball games through the day. One was twenty minutes west of us, the other was 30 minutes east. It kind of chewed up the whole day. I did get a one mile walk in with hubby, about 20 min.

Sunday (355)- Always a busy day! Church in the morning, then an extra shift of work in the evening. I managed a one mile walk early in the morning. This one was about 19 minutes.

Monday (356)- I had trouble sleeping last night. I probably had caffeine too late again. I tend to do that at work. I went on a longer walk today, 1.9 miles in 34 minutes. I made it up to the cemetery again to pray.

Friday Hubby called me on his way home and said he needed a night out. I was very quick to respond, "YES!" As I was getting dressed nice (not too fancy, but nicer than my everyday mom clothes) hubby was cooking eggs for the kids. I came out to show him how good I looked, and before he looked up he said, "Why don't we just save some money and eat eggs with the kids. We can get some popcorn at the movie then." Sternly, I responded, "Do I look like I want to eat eggs with the kids!" emoticon

Hubby quickly redeemed himself and took me to Dolce in Omaha. It was excellent! I highly recommend it. We then went to the Imax in CB and saw the new James Bond movie. Again, I highly recommend that. It's the first Bond movie I've liked in a long time. They're getting back to what James Bond is supposed to be. So, after swinging and missing on the first pitch, Hubby hit a homerun.

    Wow, Chris. Look how close you are to your full year! It gets difficult when work and family pulls you in different directions (literally and figuratively) but you're doing an awesome job.

Love the way you didn't back down on the date night - sounds like you guys had fun, too.

Day 353-Slept hard!

I slept hard last night, and again this morning after everyone left for work and school. I think I got ten hours total sleep!

Feeling good today, and the weather is nice, so I went for a long walk. My knees haven't felt the best, so I've done a lot of walking lately. Today I totaled 3.35 miles in 61 minutes. It felt great, and I even made it back up to the cemetery for more prayers today. It's been a very peaceful and beautiful day.

Now, to go get the kids from school.

Day 352-Soooooooooo tired

Wow! I am really tired! I worked until midnight at my Omaha job last night, then turned around and worked at 7:45am at my small town job. Not much sleep in between. I managed surprisingly well at work today and felt pretty alert. After work, I went on a quick walk to get my workout in. I was just over 0.5 mile from my house when I realized I was starting to get a little dizzy. I made it home ok, and ended up doing 1.2 miles in 22 minutes. I don't have any energy left, so I am really looking forward to bedtime tonight. I think the kids will be in charge the rest of the evening, and hubby is picking up dinner. No more work for this girl today.

Day 351- A good walk on a sunny day

I finally squeezed in a longer walk today. After napping again, not quite as long as yesterday, I got my day started. I feel pretty good. I managed 1.8 miles today in 35 minutes. I'm working so many hours that I've decided I need to take back my exercise a notch, so I don't over do it. I've noticed I've had an easier time this week eating better. I really haven't strayed from my eating plan. I feel really good about that, since I even did well at a buffet on Sunday.

Days 348, 349 & 350

Sunday, Monday and Tuesday aren't stellar exercise days for me, but I got my ten minutes in all the same. All three days were ten minutes on the elliptical. My body seems pretty worn out, so I probably couldn't handle much more, even if I had the time.

Yesterday I felt pretty worn out from having worked all weekend. Sundays when I work are pretty exhausting. I still get up early to go to church. This Sunday we were able to go out to eat afterward at a nice local buffet. I love small towns. We always run into people we know. Then I was off to work. I get home late, and then have to get up early on Monday to get everyone out the door. I tried to sleep in since hubby was home, but was anxious. I think it's "mom anxiousness" that I should be doing something. So I didn't get my extra sleep yesterday that I needed to catch up.

Today I did. I went back to bed after getting everyone out the door. I slept till noon! I feel more like myself now, but still need a cup or two of coffee to shake off the drowsies.
