My knee is improving with taking it easy. I've also been really busy, so workouts have been shorter than I like. I'm sure that's helped my knee too.
Thursday: I had to do a lot of shopping for a slumber party we planned last minute for my 13 year old daughter. All of her invited friends came, and we only invited them on Tuesday. I limited her, so she only had six friends over. It worked out really well. I only had time for 10 minutes, and I did it on the elliptical. Once my knees warmed up, I was going at my usual pace.
Friday: We all felt kind of sick from eating so bad during the slumber party, and from lack of sleep. I walked one mile with my 13 year old daughter, 20.5 minutes. That is quite slow for me. We had a great time talking, however. We also would have walked longer, but I noticed a dog was out that I worry about.
Saturday: Everyone felt better, recovered from the slumber party. We went out to eat at one of the casinos, a buffet, to celebrate our anniversary. Monday is our 18th wedding anniversary. It was fun to celebrate with the kids. We went to the zoo after that and did the IMax, aquarium, Kingdoms of the night, and the jungle (lower level). After that, I took a walk, again with my daughter, down to the zebra (there was only one that we saw) and back up, around the outside of the betterfly house and to the front entrance. That took 12.5 minutes. We were walking at a good pace again, and my knee is feeling much better.
I'll continue to take it easy on my knee, walking and doing the elliptical this week. Hopefully, I can get some longer workouts in. I think it should be a less busy week.

Tuesday was a busy day. I had to be at work at 3pm, so I had the morning to get all my mom stuff done. I was getting dinner in the crockpot when hubby called and wanted to meet for lunch. That changed all my plans. I figured I'd get my walk in with him after lunch, but we ran late. Fortunately, I was able to go for a walk for my break at work, 15 minutes, and kept my streak alive.
Today I wanted to get out and enjoy this last beautiful day before the weather really gets cold. I walked for 63 minutes, 3.5 miles. My pace was 18 minutes/mile. I figure that's pretty good with my knee still giving me trouble. I plan to get to the chiropractor the next day or two. I have lots to do, so we'll see when I can make it.

Yesterday I had a nice lunch with hubby in Omaha. We went to the sushi place at Aksarben Village. We had the Seattle roll (bakes salmon, asparagus, cream cheese, wrapped in rice) and shared our lunches so we each got to try two lunch entrees. It was yummy, but definitely not on my meal plan. Afterward, we walked around for a while, lots of trails and sidewalks there. That ended up being my exercise, about 1 mile in 20 minutes. It was nice and relaxing, though.
Today I got in a more vigorous walk. I went 1.9 miles in 31.5 minutes. The weather is so beautiful for walking. I love fall.
