Day 282-The day slipped away from me

Wow! I was tired from working seven out of nine days, the last shift until 11:30pm. Keep in mind I still get up at 6:30 am to get everyone out the door to school and work. Today one of my kids stayed home sick, so we lounged around together all morning. We took a nap after everyone else left, and watched some TV after that. I finally started getting some mom things done in the afternoon, including my workout. I did 20 minutes on the elliptical. Hopefully, everyone will be healthy tomorrow, so I can get a good jogging workout in.

Day 281-Beautiful day-wish I had more time

It's a beautiful day today! It was 81 degrees and sunny when I got outside to jog. I only had time for 1.5 miles today. That took me 20 minutes.

So much to do and so little time. Got to go for now.

Day 279+ 280

Monday almost got away from me. We were doing jobs around the house, and before I knew it, it was 7:30 in the evening. I walked one mile with my son Stevie (10). My time was 17:40. I figured since it was later, I didn't want to get my heart rate up too fast.

Today I was able to get 20 minutes done on the elliptical. It got too hot out again before I could get outside to work out. I also stretched for five minutes afterward. I really am glad that I have this streak going. Both yesterday and today I would have skipped a workout all together if it weren't for this streak.

Day 278-Another quick mile

Good Morning everyone! I really enjoyed my one mile jog this morning. It is beautiful outside today. The thermometer read 68 degrees and the sun is shining bright. I didn't even take my iPod today. I just wanted to listen to the "quiet." My time was 13:15, only three seconds slower than yesterday.

Day 277-Quick one mile jog

I finally got outside when it wasn't too hot to jog. I did a quick one mile, 13:12 was my time. Afterward I was able to do some weights (bicep curls, tricep "curls", and delt presses). Hubby finally got the adjustable hand weights working again. WooHoo! I also stretched for four minutes afterward, my calves. I always have to try to keep those loose. So it was a quick workout, but a complete workout.

On another happy note, hubby says he's going to start eating healthy again. I'm really proud of him for trying to get back at it. He also wants to start walking and lifting weights every day.
