I appreciate all the comments yesterday on my shoe question. I have gone to a running shoes. It was when I got the asics that are now wearing out. I've been thinking of trying on the kayano style to see how it compares to the cumulus style. I think I'll stick with asics for running, and maybe trying Keen for walking. Canfield's in Omaha has a lot of Keen shoes to try on.
Today I jogged for 1.5 miles in 20 minutes, and walked 0.7 mile in 13 minutes. I got out around noon, so it was already hot out there. My muscles and joints love the heat, my head, not so much. Drinking lots of water as I blog right now, actually my home made sports drink. I also stretched afterward for seven minutes.
My eating is totally back on track now. I slowly reintroduced the veggies into my diet after my GI attack a few weeks ago. Yesterday I made my "green sludge" that I drink every morning (spinach, V8, lemon juice, celery, cucumber, avocado blended up). I also have had some salads and fruits pretty regularly.
Feels good to be back on track.
