Day 210-A good jog

I wish I had gotten out earlier today to exercise when the clouds were still out. It was a little warm while I was jogging. My muscles and joints seem to really love the warmer weather for jogging. They feel great! It's a little harder on the rest of me. I walked 0.25 mile, jogged two straight miles, and walked another 0.25 mile. I've also learned that my warm up and cool down walks need to be somewhat slow. That seems to help my muscles more. My jogging miles were 13:33 and 13:43, pretty good considering the heat.

Last night at work went much better than the night before. I was able to avoid the day old donuts and the stress level was greatly reduced. We managed well, especially considering we were a person short. One pharmacist is on maternity leave, and the managers are not approving overtime for the people willing and able to fill in some of her shifts. We lucked out this weekend, but it won't work out well every time. There is another pharmacist going on maternity leave, so basically in July both my weekends are short a person now. Really frustrated with management on this one.

    Your exercise sounds great! Keep Moving! Sorry about work. I often think if your boss had to cover a shift shorthanded then they would perfectly understand the need for more staff, especially on the weekends.

209-Walk with Hubby

Hubby wanted me to give him credit for exercising today. We went for a walk together down at the park. It was nice to walk with him. I really need to calm down from last night. Work was very difficult. We had to make a chemo and needed help to figure out the exact process and we couldn't get a hold of anyone. Very frustrating!

Today's a new day, though, and I need to forget about last nights issues. It's always hard for me to that.

The walk with Hubby helped. We walked for 15 minutes around the city park which was a nice change of pace. Lots of people were down there for picnics and an auction.

Just got in a quick walk with my oldest daughter. We did one mile in 18.5 minutes with a quick stop at a friends house for a garage sale. Nice to visit with Susan for a few minutes, even nicer to visit with my daughter alone for the walk.

Day 207-Awesome workout!

I finally feel like I accomplished something today (for working out). I walked 0.25 mile, jogged 2 miles, and walked another 0.25 mile. Both my jogging miles were just over 13 minutes each. I felt great! I haven't really been stretching like I should. I highly recommend stretching and I want to stretch. I just haven't had the time lately. So I'm guessing the potassium has made the biggest difference in my shins and calves. If you suffer shin splints or tight calves when walking or jogging, look into potassium/electrolyte replacement. It can make all the difference!

After cardio, I did weights and non-crunch abs. That's two days this week with resistance training. I haven't lost much strength, luckily. My muscles and body feel much better now. I was starting to feel weak and sickly, not having done weights for almost a month.

Day 206 of 10 min of exercise/day

I didn't get in the exercise I planned for today, but I did manage a 17 minute, one mile walk. I wanted to get a good jog in with the cooler weather, but I got busy cleaning out the girls' closet and figuring out which clothes fit Bridget and which didn't. What an accomplishment to finally get that project done! I still have four boys whose clothes I have to go through, but that's easier. What doesn't fit Mikey goes to Patrick. What doesn't fit Patrick, goes to Stevie. What doesn't fit Stevie, goes in the closet to wait till it will fit Sean. Quite the stair steps to Heaven I have.
