I really don't like sparking on the iPad, but I'm glad I have the option. Today for my workout I did the elliptical, weights, and stretching. I broke it down into three intervals:
Elliptical 10 min, one set of weights (tricep pulldown, front laterals, tricep curls, and glutes), one set of non-crunch abs (dumb-bell side bends, dumb-bell cross body punches, lying leg lifts)
After three sets of the above, I stretched for ten minutes. I really need to stretch more often, especially my calves. Maybe I'll add that to my bedtime routine.
Last night was the Middle school concert. Mary is in sixth grade band and choir. Patrick is in the 7-8th grade band and choir. Mary plays flute and Pat is a percussionist. Mary had her first piano solo, "Inspector Cool," and she nailed it! Patrick accompanied Mrs. H on piano for the choir song, "Rythm of Life". This isn't the Disney song. It's a really fast paced musical piece with lots of interesting vocals. I've never seen Pat play so fast. He was fantastic! Neither of them looked too nervous. I swear I felt all their nervousness for them. Afterward we went out to a local restaurant for ice cream. The featured flavor was chocolate fudge brownie and it was fabulous. When I go off my eating plan, I want it to be for really tasty food. I succeeded last night.
This blog is long enough. I'd better get back to my busy mom schedule.

We had a somewhat busy day for a Sunday yesterday. First church, then home to get the twins ready for their soccer pictures. They both looked so cute. Sean has such a hard time having a natural smile. It's so funny. Mary and Stevie had pictures too. Many moms had to make several trips, me included. It took up my whole day. I got my workout done in the evening again, 20 minutes in the pool, including 500 backstrokes.
I didn't sleep too well again, so I was slow getting going today. It is such a nice day out, that once I started, I didn't want to stop jogging. My total today was 4.5 miles straight jogging in 62 minutes. That's 14 minutes per mile. I know I've gone that far before, just not all jogging or all in a row. I'm really proud of that!

I went to three soccer games today. Stevie's was first, bright an early at 9am. I worked until 12:30am last night, 10.5 hours straight with no break. One of our pharmacists just got back from wintering in Florida, and he's still catching on again. He retrains each spring. I love him to death, but I hate cleaning up after him.
Anyway, back to soccer. Stevie (10) scored twice today! He looked really good out there and his team won. The twins, Sean and Bridget (6), played at 1pm. Bridget scored twice and Sean six times to help their team win. The little kids are so cute, not too many rules, no goalies, just a lot of kids running around having fun. Mary (12) played at 2 and her team won. She's a defender so she doesn't get a chance to score. I took the kids to Subway for Goodrich ice cream afterward. I was good, and had nothing there.
For my workout today I managed one mile jogging (13:16) and my weight set one (chest press, delt press, bicep curls, quads). I'm kind of tired since I didn't get to bed until almost 2am, but my workout counts and my streak continues.

I kept Bridget home from school today, and she seems to be improving. We are watching all the Barbie movies. So far we've watched: Mariposa and Thumblina. She's keeping down crackers and Poweraid, so I think she's getting better. She'll hopefully be able to do her soccer game tomorrow.
I got on the elliptical again for 30 minutes. I was hoping for a more complete workout, but I have to head off to work soon. I shouldn't overdo it before a ten hour shift.
Lots of construction equipment outside today. They are getting ready to do some sewer work, and it looks major. Huge cement "pipes" arrived today, and there's lots of really big equipment. They've also dumped four huge piles of rock/gravel on the street in front of our house. This should be interesting when they start to tear everything up.

I felt really tired today. It couldn't be all the running around I've done this week for the family, or the two awesome workouts in a row?
I really took it easy today. I went back to bed after everyone left and stayed there till 10:30. Then I watched TV for a few hours. It's funny, even on my lazy days I still get several loads of laundry done and folded and I clean the kitchen and do dishes. After school the kids and I worked together to hurry to get the split pea soup going, and then I had to run them to piano and Bridget to the doctor. I took her in for pink eye, but found out there that she has a fever. Horrible mom!! I missed the fever!! She appears to have some kind of virus and her eyes are watery because of it.
The rain today made my evening easier. Soccer and track all got cancelled, so less running around.
I finally got my workout done, at 7:30 tonight. I did 20 minutes on the elliptical at a slower pace, not all out. It still counts though and my streak continues.
