We were hoping to get some family exercise done, but the weather didn't cooperate. Instead, we played some board games and then went bowling. Bowling was a lot of fun and isn't too expensive at our small town bowling alley. I got a 166! My average used to be around 145 when I was in leagues.

After we got home, I did Zumba with the kids. I burned through three kids in 30 minutes. They discovered it's not so easy. They're fun to exercise with!

Day 111

Sunday, March 18, 2012

Same workout as yesterday, 1.5 miles walking and jogging. My jogging mile time was 13:12. It's still beautiful outside. Of course, I've had to work all weekend and have only been outside for my short workouts. Tomorrow we all have off, and it will most likely rain. We're still planning a fun family day.

Day 110

I felt pretty good all day yesterday. That's reaffirming that I'm on the right track with my meds.

Today I walked/jogged 1.5 miles. We still have such beautiful weather. It's already 70 out. My jogging mile was 13 minutes, my walking half mile was 8.5 minutes. I thought for sure that I would be slower. The wind is strong out there!

Day 109-Feeling a little better

I had to hurry to get my workout in. I walked/jogged 1.5 miles. My jogging mile was 13.5 minutes, walking half mile was 8.5 minutes.

I think I made a good decision with my meds. I'm starting to feel a little better. I may have to do some shorter workouts to keep my streak going, but it only takes 10 minutes per day to keep it up. I can manage that even on my worst days. I got a decent night's sleep last night, and that makes a lot of difference too.

Day 108-Not feeling well, but kept my streak going

I decided to swim today, since I can kind of take it easy if I have to in the pool. I swam for 20 minutes, including only 300 backstrokes. I mostly did kicks holding onto the kick bar.

I've had to review my thyroid/adrenal meds again. Over the last few months I tried to get off of Cytomel and change to dessicated thyroid. I also tried a couple of times to wean off of hydrocortisone. These changes did not agree with my body, so now I'm in the process of going back on Cytomel and remaining on hydrocortisone. I have to convince my doctor that those are the two meds that agree best with my body. We'll see what happens.

    Way to keep with the streak, Chris. It's tough when you aren't feeling quite up to par but at least you did it. Take it easy and see you tomorrow night at work. I was quite busy on my shift Monday and Tuesday even though Amy said both nights were fairly decent for the evening.
