Day 107-Five miles

I totalled five miles today, walking and jogging. I did 1/4 mile walk, 1 1/4 jog, 1/4 walk, 1 1/4 jog, 1/4 walk, 1 1/2 jog, 1/4 walk. My total jogging time was 57.5 minutes, walking time 18.5 minutes. That last 1/4 mile was pretty slow. That's a little over 14 minutes per mile jogged.

Honors band on Monday night went really well, except that we had to drive to Griswold for it. It was over an hour to get there, in the middle of no where. Patrick plays percussion, so he moved from instrument to instrument. The second song was the best. Pat was on the large chimes and xylophone. When he was waiting for his parts to play he was still jamming out, banging his sticks together and dancing. It was a blast to watch, and we weren't the only ones that noticed. Other parents from our town also commented on how Patrick was really enjoying that second song.

Day 105-Beautiful weather!

I am looking forward to getting outside all week for exercise! This week is supposed to be highs in the 70's and sunny all week. Today I totalled 4.5 miles:

1/4 mile walk, 1 mile jog, 1/2 mile walk, 1 mile jog, 1/2 mile walk, 1 mile jog, 1/4 mile walk.

My mile jog times were: 13:17, 13:12, 12:45. I can't believe I got faster with each mile. It felt really good today. I've made some adjustments to my adrenal fatigue meds, so I'm hoping I won't be so sore tomorrow. I was trying to wean off the oral hydrocortisone, but I don't think my body was agreeing with that, so I went back up to my previous dose.

Today Hubby and I get to go to Honors Band for our eighth grader, Patrick. He's a percussionist and he really enjoys Honors Band. These things are never close to home, and we have to drive over an hour to get there, but the concert will be really good. It's fun to see Patrick get a chance to use the different percussion instruments.

    Enjoy the concert tonight! I loved those days when I was teaching. It was so neat to see them practice and work hard all day and then put on a great concert in the evening. That may be the one thing that I miss from teaching! Have fun!

Day 104-Zumba with my daughter

Well, it took a while, but we finally figured out how to do multi-player on my Zumba game for the Xbox Kinect. Mary (12) really had fun doing a couple of single routines with me. She has no experience dancing, so it was fun watching her try to keep up with mom. Great bonding time! My total Zumba time today was 40 minutes. That's really good considering I haven't felt good all day. I had a horrible night's sleep. I'm still trying to figure out what's causing my poor sleep. It may just be TOM doing it to me. I'll have to keep better records again.

My body is sore again today, and TOM hit, so I forced myself to only walk. I did two miles in 32 minutes. I'm hoping that will get some of the lactic acid build up out of my muscles and give my body a little bit of a break.

Day 102-Beautiful sunny day!

I think I'll finally be able to start jogging regularly, at least for the next week. Today was sunny and in the upper 50's. I took it a little easier than on Tuesday. I'm still sore from that outing. I walked 1/4 mile, jogged 1 mile, walked 1/2 mile, jogged 1 mile, walked 1/4 mile. Total jogging time was 26.5 min, walking time 17.5 minutes. I feel like I did not overdo it this time. After that I did weights, crunches and stretching for a complete workout.

The laundry piled up yesterday since I spent the whole day in the basement cleaning, so today I did lots of laundry. I also picked up Bridget's area of the basement. The kids are amazed at the work I'm doing and it's fun to see them play with their toys again. Amazing what they play with when the toys are organized and they can find what they are looking for.

I'm thinking about reducing the weights I do to twice a week so I can get a little more housework done. Any thoughts on that?

    Great job, Chris. You're getting exercise in (lots of it, from the sounds of it) AND organizing/cleaning the basement. I have high hopes but just can't get anything started! Proud of your streak - you're doing awesome!
