My body is sore again today, and TOM hit, so I forced myself to only walk. I did two miles in 32 minutes. I'm hoping that will get some of the lactic acid build up out of my muscles and give my body a little bit of a break.

I think I'll finally be able to start jogging regularly, at least for the next week. Today was sunny and in the upper 50's. I took it a little easier than on Tuesday. I'm still sore from that outing. I walked 1/4 mile, jogged 1 mile, walked 1/2 mile, jogged 1 mile, walked 1/4 mile. Total jogging time was 26.5 min, walking time 17.5 minutes. I feel like I did not overdo it this time. After that I did weights, crunches and stretching for a complete workout.
The laundry piled up yesterday since I spent the whole day in the basement cleaning, so today I did lots of laundry. I also picked up Bridget's area of the basement. The kids are amazed at the work I'm doing and it's fun to see them play with their toys again. Amazing what they play with when the toys are organized and they can find what they are looking for.
I'm thinking about reducing the weights I do to twice a week so I can get a little more housework done. Any thoughts on that?

I squeezed in 20 minutes of Zumba today, so my streak is still going. I decided early in the day to finally start attacking the disaster that is our basement. We have a rec room that is 32' x 24'. Half the room is a TV area with game systems and the other half looks like Toys R Us exploded. Actually, the toys were everywhere! I've also discovered what slobs my kids are, yes, slobs! Trash of all kinds everywhere. I even found a plate, two bowls, a fork, and a spoon in, around, and under the furniture. I'm not done yet, but I have made a huge dent. I think I'll continue tomorrow. The girls' areas are still aweful. Mary (12) has a craft area and Bridet (6) has a girl toy area that are heaping piles of stuff right now. All of the boys stuff is organized now, except for what I'll find trapped in the girls stuff tomorrow.
Wish me luck! I really need it when tackling this job. It takes a lot for me to get started down here, but I have to perservere and keep going.

I made it to 100! My body was a little sore from yesterday's workout, ok, very sore, so I decided to do some zero impact exercise. Good thing I've got an Endless pool! I did 30 minutes today, including 1000 backstrokes (2x500). I would have done more, but Hubby wants me to trek into town to look at some furniture he found.
I think I've gotten better at rotating my workouts since I started exercising every day. When my body's sore, I like to swim. We keep our pool pretty warm, so it feels so good on this old body when I climb in. I've also done well with the weights. I've managed three weights sessions/week almost every week this year (only one week had one session). Here's a list of my various exercises:
Jogging when the weather cooperates
Swimming in my Endless pool (including kicks holding onto the kick bar, and backstrokes)
Lifting weights-we have a machine and some free weights
Crunches of all kinds
Zumba on the Xbox Kinect
UFC on the Xbox Kinect (I've only just begun this one)
Other Kinect games with the kids
Bicycling (hopefully the trails aren't trashed from last summer floods. I haven't biked for a while, but am axious to get back at it.)
All this variety has really helped me get through the winter and keep my streak going!
